Miracle Hill Ministries
Shelter, food and miracles. Every day. Since 1937, Miracle Hill provides the most comprehensive home
Since 1937, Miracle Hill Ministries has been impacting the Upstate and helping hurting people become whole. Our homeless shelters, addiction recovery centers and foster care program provide vital support and care needed for life transformation.
O God, you declare your almighty power chiefly in showing mercy and pity: Grant us the fullness of your grace, that we, running to obtain your promises, may become partakers of your heavenly treasure; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
Incident at our Women’s Emergency Shelter
Greenville, SC. July 19, 2024- In the morning hours of July 18, 2024, one of our staff members was attacked by a former guest in the parking lot of our women’s emergency shelter in Greenville. This guest had been disqualified from our program the night before for not following the guidelines of the facility.
The injured staff member received immediate medical care and is stable and recuperating. The offender is in police custody. Our thoughts and prayers are with them and their families.
We want to express our gratitude to our first responders, who acted swiftly and professionally during this incident. Their prompt and diligent efforts ensured the safety of everyone involved.
The well-being of our staff and current guests is our top priority. We continue to work closely with the authorities investigating the incident.
We are committed to providing a safe and supportive environment for everyone who relies on our services. Our staff members are dedicated professionals who work tirelessly to support those in need, and we will continue to prioritize their safety and well-being, as we care for this vulnerable population in the Upstate.
We appreciate the support and understanding of the community as we address this situation and act in response to it. We ask the community for discretion and respect for the families and colleagues affected.
Our overcomers are getting ready for graduation tonight! Come witness the beautiful things only Jesus can do in someone's life.

Let us pray to see, love, and know people as Christ does.
Grant us, O Lord, the spirit to always think and do the right things, and live according to your will; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.
Please, pray for Steve. He is ready to tackle another big swim, the North and English Channel, to raise funds and awareness for our ministry.
“If I go swimming, Miracle will raise the money, they get the counselors they need, and a child comes into foster care and they get the trauma counseling they need. That child will go on to do more with their life and then help somebody else. You never know where that ripple effect will end.” Steve Moby Leitch

Steve will swim all seven oceans in seven months to raise funds for Miracle Hill. He is working towards breaking a World Record, y'all!
In prep for this, in July he will swim the North and English Channel. These iconic swims will take about 10 hours to complete in frigid waters.

High temperatures can have severe life-threatening effects on the homeless population.

We are excited to announce our CEO, Ryan Duerk's, first book titled Counterfeit Peace!
Counterfeit Peace is a story of redemption. Ryan Duerk details the story of his life from childhood, into the ravages of addiction, and ultimately through the front doors of a rescue mission. He describes in intense detail what can happen to a life without direction. Counterfeit Peace candidly exposes the raw reality of dependence and brokenness. This is a story of a search for peace in empty wells, and finding it at the end of ourselves and in the true author of peace, Jesus Christ.
Counterfeit Peace will be available later this summer!
***UPDATE: Due to Winter Storm Finn***
We are keeping the Severe Weather Shelter from last night open today until 4:00 p.m. It will resume regular operations tonight at 8:00 o’clock.
