Y'all how in the world did cereal get to $9 for a box? I remember when my children were young and the economy was pretty bad...I mean interest rates on new home loans were 16%!! It was at that time in my life that I discovered Aloette Cosmetics and direct sales. It truly changed our life! That first month I tried it, we literally had "extra" money! Tip Tuesday: The secret to professional looking makeup application is layering and blending. In this pic Noel Jakiela used Aloette's Vera Palette along with Top Shelf Mascara to create depth, highlighting and shadowing for a gorgeous eye look. Use your lightest color under the brow, a little shimmer on the lid and your darkest color for contouring and blend!! Also apply first layer of mascara and let it dry then apply your second layer...you can even use a tinted lash primer and two formula's to create more drama and lash thickness!

Do you have empathy for others? I’ve been told I’m an “empath” which can be a person who is very sympathetic to others, but I have found over the years it can be very draining.
Sometimes we put others above ourselves so much that we hardly have anything left at the end of the day.
This message is short and to the point… I’ve learned to set boundaries. Not for those who are ill or elderly but for those that I know want to control me and have me jump through hoops to please them. I know that by setting limits on my time and energy I’m much happier and showing myself much-deserved self-love.

On the 10th Day of Christmas I picked myself up!!

Sometimes after the actual “holiday” it can feel like a let down or sad - almost like grief! Here are some ideas of things we can all do to lift our mood -

***Put on some upbeat music and organize a room
***Take yourself out to lunch (yes you can do this go somewhere nice and you’ll be surprised how it can feel good!
***Sign up for an online class or better yet someting in person.
***Make a gratitude list
***Call a friend and just chat
***Make yourself a fancy drink (this doesn’t have to be spirited)
***Do a breathing exercise.
***Grab your prettiest teacup and teapot and make a pot/cup of tea (steep it for 5 minutes) it's all about the process!!
