‼️Two options to attend‼️. As we prepare for the 24/25 school year we would like to invite you to the New Patriot Orientation on August 5th. There will be two different sessions on campus at JL Mann. The first session is from 9:00 am-11:30 am. This session is mainly for our New Patriots, but everyone is welcomed. The second session is from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm. This session is for our Returning Patriots and it will be the only session for parking pass pickup. If you cannot attend any of these sessions, we will host another orientation in the evening from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm at the Phillis Wheatly Center located at 335 Greenacre Rd. Greenville, SC 29607. As a reminder the only session for parking pass pickup is at JL Mann from 1:00 -3:00 pm. We are looking forward to seeing all of you on August 5th and welcome you to the new school year.

Mientras nos preparamos para el año escolar 24/25, nos gustaría invitarlos a la Orientación para Nuevos Patriotas el 5 de agosto. Habrá dos sesiones diferentes en el campus de JL Mann. La primera sesión es de 9:00 a 11:30 horas. Esta sesión es principalmente para nuestros Nuevos Patriotas, pero todos son bienvenidos. La segunda sesión es de 13:00 a 15:00 horas. Esta sesión es para nuestros Patriots que regresan y será la única sesión para recoger pases de estacionamiento. Welcome to Mann Nation Bailey Holland! Bailey is a Certified Athletic Trainer coming from Lander University & worked with both basketball teams over the past 2 years. She has a masters from West Texas A & M University and her BA from the Univ. of South Carolina.

🎉 To further celebrate our JL Mann AP students and teachers, we want to spotlight some of our AP courses that achieved 90% or higher and/or met/exceeded 3-4 rated categories in South Carolina and Globally! Mann nation is extremely proud of the hard work and commitment of our students and teachers!🎉

🎉 JL Mann High School would like to recognize our hard working teachers and students who embarked on multiple Advanced Placement courses during the 23-24 school year! The following results were in comparison to South Carolina/Global mean scores and percentage of students scoring a 3 or higher in South Carolina and Globally! Patriot nation is proud of our AP teachers and students! 🎉

JL Mann will like to introduce our new Band Director Mr. Colton D. Stewart! He is a music educator and percussionist from Andrews, North Carolina. He received his B.M. In Music Education and Music Performance from Mars Hill University. While at Mars Hill University, Mr. Stewart was the principal percussionist and section leader for the Mountain Lion Marching Band and the Wind Symphony where he participated in Jazz Band, World Music, Phi Mu Alpha, Musicals, Percussion Ensemble and choir. While in college Mr. Stewart participated with Carolina Gold Drum and Bugle Corps in 2010-2011, where the percussion section finished first place in the world at the Drum Corps Associates World Championships. He was also the section leader at Wake Forest Independent, a WGI group where they finished 5th in the World.

After finishing his degrees at Mars Hill University, Mr. Stewart accepted the Director of Bands position at Murphy Middle School and Murphy High School in Murphy, NC. Later Mr. Stewart would become the Director of Bands at East Henderson High School in East Flat Rock, NC where he has been for the last 8 years. In his free time, Mr. Stewart enjoys spending time with his wife Hannah and his two sons, Samuel and Andrew. Mr. Stewart also enjoys playing disc golf and introducing this great sport to others. Mr. Stewart is excited for the opportunity to be the Director of Bands at J.L. Mann and join this great community. He is excited for the future of the school and band program.

There is a new district-wide dress code for the 2024-2025 school year. This initiative aims to establish a more unified and clear approach to discipline and dress code across our schools. The guidelines and associated consequences will be enforced throughout the 2024-25 academic year.

Esta iniciativa tiene como objetivo establecer un enfoque más unificado y claro sobre la disciplina y el código de vestimenta en todas nuestras escuelas.
