Our Story
Did you know there are nearly 1,300 children and youth in Greenville county who are victims of abuse or neglect? This can tear a family apart.
Since 1975, Pendleton Place has offered programs that protect, equip and heal children, youth and families affected by abuse, trauma and/or neglect. We have three distinct programs to accomplish this. Our Assessment Center is a multi-agency collaboration and family evaluation led by Pendleton place staff to identify the root cause of abuse and neglect and make recommendations for a plan on family reunification. Our Smith House residential program is a home to teenage girls ages 12-21. And finally, our Youth Resource Center is a center for youth ages 17-24 experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness. We provide basic needs services such as hot meals and showers, as well as intensive case management services, all with the purpose of helping them become self-sufficient. We strengthen children while rebuilding families because it's our goal for each child to have a stable home environment and a bright future.
