π **Monday Heritage Post -- This week in Seabee History**
On July 31, 1972, Equipment Operator Constructionman Camella Jones made history as the first female Seabee at Naval Air Station, Kingsville, Texas, when her designation was formally changed from Seaman to Constructionman. Her groundbreaking achievement paved the way for future generations of women in the Seabees and Civil Engineer Corps.

Beginning in CY25, Intermediate and Advanced Leadership Development Courses will be a prerequisite to take the Navy-wide advancement exam for E-6 and E-7. This quarter, NCB-14 members gained valuable hands-on and classroom training to include CESE licensing, SCW training, 3M 301, KMI training and other training and familiarization to attain Warfighter Readiness. In preparation for FY25 FTX, members during this quarter were provided opportunities for Crew Serve Weapons, Tactical Unit Leadership Course, Communications Tier I/II, Rifle Qualifications and TOA and PGI gear familiarization.
Seabees from NCB-14 conducted heavy timber construction training during their FY24-Q3 annual training! Awesome!
NCB-14 Seabees train on simulated mounted machine guns as part of a Tactical Unit Leadership Course during their FY24-Q3 annual training.
Sailors from NCB-14 conducted Civil Engineering Support Equipment (CESE) training and licensing during their FY24-Q3 annual training aimed at gaining valuable hands-on experience to attain Warfighter Readiness and prepare for the FY25 field training exercise. Good job Seabees!
