December marks the 75th Anniversary of the Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR). Article 2 states, ”Everyone is entitled to all the rights and freedoms set forth in this Declaration, without distinction of any kind, such as race, colour, s*x, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or another status” (UDHR, 1948). It is important to remember the fight for recognition of equal human rights, see how far we have come, and acknowledge the work we still need to do.
