For your protection I want to share a recent incident with you. A vacant home I have listed was broken into. I got a call from and agent going to show the home. I called the police while I was on my way to the home.
What I am sharing with you I learned from the officers who came to meet me at the home.
1. Should you come home and find things suspicious, quietly LEAVE. Get in your car and go a few homes down and call the police (in Henderson call 702-267-5000 in Las Vegas 311(it is a non-emergency, non- life threatening call). Do NOT go in, someone could still be there,. NOTHING, NOTHING, NOTHING is more valuable than YOU.
2. If you were to go in and start touching things you will contaminate the scene and any evidence they might find.
The other thing I might say is know your neighbors. They should have contact information for you. Watch what is happening in your neighborhood. If you see something Say something. We are each others keepers.
So now on a lighter note. The Real Estate Market is alive and well. We are not seeing crazy price increases as we did a couple of years ago. We are seeing moderate appreciation. Resale inventory is on the low side, the new home market is doing well as the builders are offering great incentives to buyers and their lenders are able to buy down interest rates for the buyers.

New York City will begin tracking the carbon footprint of household food consumption and putting caps on how much red meat can be served in public institutions as part of a sweeping initiative to achieve a 33% reduction in carbon emissions from food by 2030. Mayor Eric Adams and representatives from the Mayor’s Office of Food Policy and Mayor’s Office of Climate & Environmental Justice announced the new programs last month at a Brooklyn culinary center run by NYC Health + Hospitals, the city’s public healthcare system, just before Earth Day. At the event, the Mayor’s Office of Climate & Environmental Justice shared a new chart to be included in the city’s annual greenhouse gas inventory that publicly tracks the carbon footprint created by household food consumption, the Gothamist reported. […] Organization behind 15-minute city is mapping consumption-based emissions for New York and London The partnership between American Express, New York, London and C40 Cities to map urban emissions was formally launched last week in a C40 press release. The groups will map the consumption-based emissions of both New York and London. […] C40 Cities Climate Leadership Group is also one of the forces driving the implementation of 15-minute city projects across the world. The group comprises 96 mayors of cities from around the world, is funded by major corporations and philanthropic foundations and focuses on urban activism for climate change.
