Meet Coach Yolanda! 🌸
Hey guys I’m Coach Yolanda! I am currently in school to be a Pharmacy technician. I have a son, his name is Kylo, and he’s 2 years old turning 3. He is my whole heart.
Growing up I played volleyball, softball and basketball. I also attended dance and charm school as well.
After graduation I went to school for early childhood education. I worked with infants and toddlers until I became a preschool teacher. I also returned back to my high school to teach dance classes.
My favorite hobby is definitely singing nursery songs and watching paw patrol with Kylo.
My superhero’s would be my mom and my step dad. They have been married for 20 years. Both of them genuinely support me with anything I put my mind to. They absolutely love my son and they’re the best support system anyone can ask for.
I became a KidStrong coach because after I had my son I wanted to touch back on being around and caring for kids. Coach Brandon actually told me about KidStrong and when he explained the programming and the fact that the goal is to help kids win at life I knew it was something I wanted to be apart of. I want kids to grow up and remember Coach Yolanda; how hard we worked on 2 foot jumps and boosting their confidence.
My favorite aspect of the KidStrong curriculum is the affirmation: “I Am Strong! I Am Brave! I Can Do This!” When coaching classes if my kids ever feel defeated or even nervous I love to yell “Put your muscles up!”, and always ask them to say our affirmation over and over until they understand that they are strong, brave and with me as their coach they can do anything they put their mind to.

Normally 9:15AM 2-3 year Floor 1 class will remain the same.
Normally 4:15PM Walking-2 year on Floor 1 ➡️ 9:30AM on Floor 2.
Normally 4:30PM 3-4 year on Floor 2 ➡️ 10:15AM on Floor 1.
Normally 5:15PM 4-5 year on Floor 1 ➡️ 10:30AM on Floor 2.

Meet Coach Thomas! 🏋🏽

My name is Thomas Fletcher. I’m 18 years old. I’m getting ready to major in physical education/ Health and minor in physical therapy. I also love football and I plan on playing in college.

I have had coaching experience with peewee football teams; as well as basketball teams.

I love to play football or video games. God of war is my favorite.

My superhero is Batman. The reason for that is I just love how he doesn’t have any magical powers; but he’s still able to do anything that all of the other superheroes can do, if not better.

I became a coach because I love watching the kids grow. From being shy to being leaders in the class saying our affirmations. To seeing them face obstacles; like doing a box jump and instead of landing on their knees they finally land on their feet.

My favorite part of kidstrong is the bond you build with the kids/ parents and the other coaches. I love the workspace; Kidstrong doesn’t feel like a job to me. It’s something I very much enjoy doing and see myself doing for a while.

Meet Coach Sara! 🏒
Hi! I’m Coach Sara, I am a senior Kinesiology student at the University of Massachusetts. Growing up, I played almost every sport but found my love for ice hockey to be the strongest. I am the vice president of my university women’s hockey team and I also coach youth hockey in my free time. At school, I am currently an undergraduate research assistant in the Pediatric Physical Activity Laboratory and will be continuing these studies for my masters degree.
My favorite superhero is Thor because he is strong, he can fly and I think he’s pretty funny.
I became a coach at KidStrong because I love working with kids and seeing their progress and confidence grow over time. There is nothing better than helping people to succeed!

Meet Coach Kyriakos! ⚽️
My name is Kyriakos. I am currently on my second year of college studying business management. When I’m not coaching I find myself either doing school work or playing soccer.
In my past I have been a monitor at scope child services. On top of that I coached and currently still coach soccer to kids of all ages.
On my free time I mostly play soccer. I also enjoy playing basketball with my friends and going bowling.
My superhero’s are both of my parents. They have shaped me to be the person that I am today. They always put me and my brother over them and always provide for us no matter what.
The first time I stepped foot into KidStrong I could feel that it was the place for me. The atmosphere is amazing and it’s like a family in there.
I love the fact that we can play such a big role into these kids lives. I love to see kids make such amazing progress. Working at Kidstrong also has given me the opportunity to get to know so many great families and connect with so many people.

Meet Coach Rae! 😎
My name is Raevian Jackson, I am 29 yrs old. My birthday Nov 21. I have degree in criminal justice and an Exercise science major. I was born in Jamaica. Former three sport athlete (Track , Football, and Rugby). Currently a Personal Trainer for 6 years, Flexibility and Mobility Coach. I love health and wellness.
My experience with childhood development is I’ve coached youth football. I’ve all worked with kids on the spectrum to help them develop motor skills.
My hobbies are working out and spending time with my Ashley and Raej(my son).
My favorite superhero is Black panther.
He stood for more than himself; he stood for his people and his community. He always strived to protect and inspire them.
I became a KidStrong coach because I want to help make a different in society; and what better way to do so that help develop superheroes to change the world. As our mission states, we want to help kids “win at life”
I love all aspect of the KidStrong curriculum simply because it focuses on developing kids all around. But most importantly the building of confidence. Because I must say as a kid my confidence wasn’t the greatest, but to help kids break beyond those barriers is amazing.

Meet Coach Mike! 🏀
Whats up I’m coach Mike, I’m 21 years old and still trying to figure out where I’m headed. I would say I am a very laid back type of person that enjoys the simple things. I’m a very competitive person who will turn anything and everything into a little competition even if it’s not one, sorry to the kiddos but if you’re not on my team i’m going all in.
I have twin nieces who I love very much, so taking care of them and babysitting has let me learn a lot about that area.
My favorite hobby is definitely playing basketball. Either actual competitive games or just shooting around. From a young age I’ve had a strong love for the sport, it always gave me a sense of peace and was just something I can always go back to. I played all throughout my middle school and high school years and looking to coach one day.
I would say my superhero is my oldest sister. Taking over that mother role for me and my other sisters. I always looked up to her and still do. She is the strongest person I know and i know if I ever need anything she’ll be there in an instant with no question.
Well it’s funny I had no idea what KidStrong was and one day my good friend coach Yanni asked if I wanted to work here. I was looking for a job at the time so I said yea sounds cool. I had no idea it would be something I would quickly fall in love with doing. I’ve never had a bad day doing this, I really think it’s impossible. These kiddos make my day and seeing all them progress really makes me happy.
My favorite part of the curriculum is the confidence building. So the public speaking, social greeting, the affirmations, etc. The importance of confidence as you grow up is very high. I was a very shy and timid kid and seeing these kiddos developing it at such a young age is so cool to see.

Meet Coach Eamon! ✈️
HEY Y’ALL, my name is Eamon Rodriguez. I am 25 years old, and I love planes!✈️ I am currently a student pilot and working my way to becoming a commerical airline pilot.
Currently, I don’t have much experience involving child development, before coming to KidStrong I was an apprentice electrician working in the residential and commercial industry and babysitting here and there.
My favorite hobby has to be hiking, I simply love the outdoors and hiking is such a fun way to stay active.
My superhero is Batman, despite his traumatic past he still fights and defends Gotham using his strength, wits, and intellect to take down the most villainous foes.
When I first came to KidStrong, I didn’t know what to expect. I was invited by a family friend to come see a class, and when I first entered through those doors the atmosphere was ecstatic! The crowd, the kids, the coaches; it felt like everyone had the same goal in mind! At the end of class, I saw parents walk up to the coaches to shake their hand and thank them for the growth they see within their children. From the bottom of my heart, this was the most heartwarming event and I wanted to be apart of it on day one!
My favorite aspect of KidStrong has to be the courses and the demos involving them. I LOVE demoing the courses to the kids and sometimes adding a little joke here and there.

Hi I’m Coach Brandon! I’m a High-school Football Coach and I love working with kids equipping them with tools they will need later on.
Besides coaching football from high-school level to youth league; I’m a personal trainer, so I work with a wide range of kids
My favorite hobby is being a dad and being able to spend time with my little girl and seeing her smile.
My superhero is my mom. She has always sacrificed for me and my brother just for us to have what we needed.
I became a Kidstrong coach because I wanted to work on my coaching skills, and to continue to learn in a field where most become stagnant.
Character an brain development are my favorite parts of the curriculum and giving kids a chance win at life.

Meet Coach Glen! 🥍
Veteran Combat Sports Athlete from South Bronx, NY. Former Collegiate Athlete and MP Officer. Currently a High School Lacrosse Coach, Strength and Conditioning Coach, Youth Sports advocate, and MOTOmotivator
My favorite hobby is ANYTHING fitness. Going to the gym, going for a run, training for Mens League Lacrosse, Sunday morning softball, it doesn’t matter. As long as theres an opportunity to be actively sweaty, consider it a hobby of mine.
Captain America is my favorite superhero. He’s a strong, courageous, team oriented man that will not stop until the job is done. He solves problems with the help of his teammates and he holds them near to his heart.
I became a KidStrong Coach because the opportunity to give back to the youth AND help kids “Win at life” couldn't be passed up. The level of excitement to see the transformation of some shy, introverted kids to confident and gregarious ones is beyond amazing and rewarding.
My favorite aspect of the KidStrong curriculum are the awards ceremonies. Sadly they’re the end of the class but its also the start to a new journey for not only the Coaches but more-so for the families. That moment when we give awards to continuous progress is awesome.

Meet Coach Derrick! 🏌🏼‍♂️

My name is Derrick Gross or Coach Derrick to the kids. I am 25 years old, and I recently graduated from Adelphi university with my bachelor’s in education. And I love coaching and teaching and having fun.

I just graduated college with my bachelor’s degree in Physical education K-12. And at the moment I am a permanent substitute teacher at A junior senior high school.
My favorite hobby is watching and coaching sports. I love baseball and am a huge METS fan and a huge Giants fan for football. I’m also enjoy coaching sports, I am currently a basketball and a Junior Varsity Softball coach for the school I work at.
My superhero’s are my parents. They are always pushing me to be a better person and are always supportive of everything I do.

I became a KidStrong coach because I love what we are trying to accomplish here. As a Physical Education teacher I haven’t had a lot of opportunities to teach “fitness” units at the elementary level, so being able to coach the next group of superhero’s is something I want to do.
My favorite aspect of the Kidstrong curriculum is when we integrate learning opportunities into the class time. It’s awesome to see the kiddos get stronger, not just physically but also mentally as well.

Meet Coach Marisol! 💪🏼
My name is Marisol. I have a bachelors degree in Visual Communications and a minor in business management. When I’m not coaching I’m doing my own freelance design or hanging out with my favorite kiddo, my daughter, Franny.
I’ve taken a few classes in child psychology and early childhood development. I used to teach pre school and have been coaching youth sports since I was about 17 years old.
My favorite hobby at the moment is definitely binge watching Bluey and Ms. Rachel with my daughter.
I actually have 2 superhero’s and they’re my parents. They do everything in their power to make sure everyone in our family is good; especially their grand kids.
The minute I stepped foot into the center I just loved the atmosphere. I love the goal and I stand by everything that KidStrong embodies and does to really help our kids win at life.
I just love the progress. I love getting to know the families and seeing what goals parents have for their kids. The best part is seeing those kids crush it week after week and really thriving in all aspects of life.
