Students in the National Art Honor Society (NAHS) have been working on a beautiful landscape mural for the buildings and grounds office for the past two school years...and it is finally completed! Many thanks to all who participated throughout both school years. We hope this mural brings everyone some happiness!

Art Club, National Art Honor Society, and even some students in art classes around the department participated in making animal-themed art which was donated to the Hinsdale Humane Society for their annual Arf Gallery last week. Art prints, ceramic bowls, and handmade stuffed animals were among many pieces of art donated by local schools. Together we helped the Hinsdale Humane Society raise over $1900 in one evening! Thank you to our amazing art students!

Red Devil Service Club members worked with Monroe Elementary School to create positive Post-It notes for their students, which helped increase social and emotional well-being.

Thank you to all who came out last Sunday for this year's Walk the Walk for Mental Health. Over 800 community members participated! Thank you especially to the Track, Baseball, Softball, Peer Buddies, Lacrosse, and Water Polo teams! It was great seeing many Central students there! With all the money raised, the Community House will continue to provide equitable mental health services to our students. On behalf of the Community House, I thank all of you!

Hinsdale Central's BPA chapter took 23 students to the Nationals competition in Chicago, May 10-13th. The following students finished within the top 10 for their category and received awards. Congratulations to Hinsdale Central BPA on a very successful year!

HC’s Creative Writing Club asked students who aren’t in the club to participate in our 1st Haiku contest. Sophia won!

District 86 Latin students had a strong finish to their Certamen season. Congratulations to all of our Latin scholars on an amazing season!

NHS class of 2025 induction will be held Wednesday, May 1st in the Auditorium at 7pm. Inductees please arrive at 6:15pm. Doors open to families at 6:45pm. See you there!

Habitat for Humanity and Book Club recently completed a Little Library for the Hinsdale Central Courtyard. This collaborative project was a great experience full of creativity and making new friends while designing the Little Library. A huge thank you to the Engineering Club for making the signage for this project. All students are welcome to take a book and share a book as part of a new Red Devil Reading Community! Come by and check it out!
