Its not about not being afraid, it’s about using fear to make you aware, faster, and maybe even extra cautious. Pay attention and realize we all have feelings but we are NOT our feelings.

The Fringe Friend Crisis
America is facing a 'fringe friend' crisis People, especially Gen Zers, aren't forming as many casual friendships. This is leaving us all sadder, angrier, and lonely.
Research from the University of Michigan’s Institute for Social Research explored various Muslim countries and their perceptions about what women and should not wear. Most don't want the face covered. Most prefer a woman to be covered with a plain white hijab. The survey participants were from Tunisia, Egypt, Iraq, Lebanon, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Turkey, countries which all have a majority Muslim population. Iran and the neighboring Taliban-controlled Afghanistan are the two countries where the hijab is mandatory for women. Saudi is the country that wants it's women in niqabs the most out of any other country surveyed. They also like the nothing showing at all burka. Following Saudi, is, unfortunately, Pakistan. Lebanon and Turkey are the two countries that have the most lax mindset about no hijab. This was in 2014, a decade ago. I wonder how much that has changed...
How women should dress… according to different Muslim countries Research from the University of Michigan’s Institute for Social Research found most Muslim countries surveyed prefer women to cover their hair with a traditional hijab rather than cover their entire face with a full burqa.

My very first podcast interview. The Universe sent this interview my way a few months ago. I don't know how or why Valeria and her team found me or why of all people they asked me to discuss the topic of "Grief, Death, Psychology, and Spirituality." I do know that I am probably the best person they could have found to talk about this though and everything happens for a reason. This interview is also a sort of coming out of the closet for me, about my own consciousness expansion/spiritual awakening experiences, which was not that easy to do because a lot of people still don't believe in these things and may be skeptical. I have decided not to care about that anymore. I hope that after listening to it you will be open to reading some of the books mentioned with a curious and open mind. I am well aware I say "like", "um" and "you know" more than I ever realized but I am sure by the time I do my Ted Talk one day that problem will be resolved! Enjoy 🔮✨💫✨🔮

Moose energy.
One of my favorite things in photography is attempting to take a nice photo in a location that isn’t perfect. This moose looks to be standing in a beautiful littler stream, but in reality this was a sort of drainage culvert, and I had to climb down the side of a giant concrete pipe to get in the right position. I feel like it all worked out, and the photo means more to me because of the effort. What do you think?
This is happening more and more lately. It is the ultimate disgusting, low vibe, scum of the earth, loserific, sorry excuse for a human thing to do. I tell my patients this:
If a person does not show up to work and fails to respond to a supervisor for 3 or more days, they are considered officially terminated. Treat dating the same exact way. Consider it officially over if 3 days have passed with no contact on their part.
Also, say *no* if and when they try to zombie and roll back around for the next date. If they really care and genuinely made a mistake or some major emergency happened they will call you, explain themselves, and then make it up to you with some sort of amazing grand gesture. Chances are, this will never happen.
Chances are, you are going to be treated like an In n' Out drive through, or like a revolving door in a hotel. Think about how that feels in your body for a second. It is irritating and annoying. Remember that feeling next time someome zombies after ghosting. Hell no.

◾️LAHAINA◾️ By Shanda Golden
My memories of Lahaina are not my own, they are my mother's. When she was alive she shared with me that her fondest memories were in Lahaina, where she and my late father's love affair was its most magical. That was Lahaina, magical. A place for lovers, locals, artists, mariners, misfits, and tourists. My parents divorced when I was very young and like many people, we rely on the stories that are told to us of our parents' love affair. In the early 60's before I was born, Lahaina was a place a wild local Paia Maui boy and a prime and proper blonde young lady from Pasadena could be free. Free of social constraints and judgment. What we thankfully take for granted now Lahaina provided a haven for my parents. An accepting community that allowed lovers to love. Lahaina will always be in my heart and the hearts of many who fell in love with her. Mau loa iloko o ko makou naau💙

Sometimes we get fixated on doors that firmly slam shut in front of us. Rejection really stings and the bitterness of failure can leave us feeling lost and disheartened.
When a door slams shut, we are actually being nudged to explore new directions, hidden opportunities, great adventures, and unchartered territories. We are pushed to unearth strengths we never knew we had. We have to redefine our dreams and ignite the courage within us to chase them with unwaivering determination.
These new doors won't be visible at first glance. They emerge as subtle chances wrapped in unexpected encounters or they may be disguised as challenges. Our past experiences have prepared us for whatever we will be presented with.
So, here's to embracing the journey with an open heart, daring to step into the unknown, and blindly trusting that as one door closes, a hundred open wide, leading us to wondrous destinations we could not have possibly imagined before.🥂
