World Mental Health Day, 10 October 2023
“Our minds, our rights"
World Mental Health Day 2023 is an opportunity for people and communities to unite behind the theme ‘Mental health is a universal human right” to improve knowledge, raise awareness and drive actions that promote and protect everyone’s mental health as a universal human right.
Mental health is a basic human right for all people. Everyone, whoever and wherever they are, has a right to the highest attainable standard of mental health. This includes the right to be protected from mental health risks, the right to available, accessible, acceptable, and good quality care, and the right to liberty, independence and inclusion in the community.
Good mental health is vital to our overall health and well-being.

Living authentically by knowing yourself, being able to understand, accept and express your emotions, follow your own intuition, and trust in your ability to make the right decisions for yourself and your life can have significant positive impacts on your health and well-being.
Research shows that people who live more authentically are prone to greater psychological well-being. Greater mental health generally equates to greater physical health too.
When one cannot live from this true place of authenticity, then stress is often created in our minds and bodies.
To live authentically is to be fully in tune to your inner experiences. It is about getting to the core of your way of being and determining if this way of being is “life-draining” or “life-giving.”
As you become more aware you are not living an authentic life, is when you are actually in a place of choice – to follow your core, or follow the same path that has brought you much disconnection. You get to choose.
Living an authentic life takes courage. But what is life for if we cannot be our true selves and express to the world our true gifts? Follow your heart and follow your core and you may just find the life and fulfillment you have always wanted!

Happy Thanksgiving!! Envisionary Counseling is thankful for the opportunity to serve the community.
Change is inevitable.
Change requires adjustments.
How you cope with change can play a role in your overall mental well-being, including how you feel about your life. If you are struggling to cope with a change in your life, you might be left with feelings of negativity, bitterness, or regret about the outcome.
Sometimes, change can be positive; often the hardest changes to understand and adjust to are the ones that are unexpected and out of our control. Changes of this magnitude can be difficult to come to terms with, but your mindset can have a major impact on how you view change.
Developing a positive mindset is a great way to promote resilience, but it is also important to care for yourself during these times of transition.
Change can be beautiful; let’s cope to embrace it!

What difference could it make for your life and your success?
Focusing on one things at a time, one step at a time, will make a major impact towards achieving your goals.
Learning how a focus on one thing at a time is the key to extraordinary success. It’s easy to feel the need to complete several things at once, however, that can led to feelings of anxiety and stress.
- Attempt to prioritize things throughout your day to avoid feeling overwhelmed.
- If possible, avoid having more than 3 to 5 task to complete daily.
- Implement daily self-care activities.
