Boys travel Basketball info
All players must register/play in their current grade that they will be in at the start of the school year with the exception of 1st graders may tryout for the 2nd grade travel team(s)
If you do not make a team, you will be refunded after tryouts.
Players have to be registered prior to tryouts.
5th-6th grade travel try-outs
Sunday Aug 25th: 1:00pm-2:00pm at Edgewood Intermediate. Please enter door 11N (back of school). 6th grade will be in the main gym. 5th grade will be in the Aux gym.

2rd-4th grade travel try-outs

Players must try out one of the two days to make a team. Players can try out both days if they wish. You must sign up and pay before trying out. If a player does not make the team they will be refunded the money. Parents are asked to stay outside the gym area during tryouts. No refunds will be given to players making a team.
Season includes the following:
3rd-6th grade (roughly 30 games)
2 sessions at IYBL (Saturday league) 1st session is 10/19-12/15 and 2nd session will start after the new year.
Indiana Ball (Sunday league) Games will be played 11/3-3/9
Team training- Once a month during the season for each team at Hoosier Shooting Academy (Nov-January)
2nd grade (roughly 20 games) 1st graders may tryout for the 2nd grade team(s). The team will play in 2nd grade though.
1 session at IYBL (Saturday league) starts after the new year
Indiana Ball (Sunday league) Games will be played 11/3-3/9
Team training- Once a month during the season for each team at Hoosier Shooting Academy (Nov-January)
3rd-6th grade will cost $390 this year.
2nd grade will cost $340 this year
Teams will practice 2-3 times a week (Typically Tuesdays and Thursdays).
We are working with the school on gym space. Some teams may practice Monday, Wednesday, or Friday
All practices are 85 mins long.
2nd-4th grade will practice 6:00-7:25pm
5th-6th grade will practice 7:30-8:55pm
All teams will run the same structured fundamental drills the first 30-40 mins of each practice that focus on dribbling and shooting. The remainder of the practice will be the coaches time to work through what they need as a team.
Teams- A & B teams will be made up of 8 players each with the option of adding a 9th player to the last team. (Up to 3 teams per grade)
Plays-Each team will be given the following to run as a program. (2 quick hitter/set plays, 2 out of bounds plays, 1 press break play) Teams can run more than this, but we want to have each team to add the program plays in.
Coaching-All coaches will have to attend or coaching clinic. Please reach out if you are interested and not signed up.
Uniforms-Each player will have a reversable Flashes jersey, shooting shirt, and hooded sweatshirt
**2nd grade will play only 1 session at IYBL and will have a lower registration price.

DICK’S Sporting Goods and Nike are committed to helping girls and young women reach their full potential on and off the court! That’s why we’re back with It's Her Shot, a day of free basketball skills clinics, games and more for girls ages 8-18. We’ll group athletes by age and skill level—and all are welcome!

It's Her Shot is a free event! Space is limited and filled on a first come, first served basis. The event will be held August 17th at Best Choice Fieldhouse: 11825 Technology Dr, Fishers, IN 46038.

Select the grade you are going into next school year.
K-5th grade is 6/17-6/20 (1-2:30pm)
6th & 7th grade is 6/18-6/20 & 6/25-6/27(10-12pm)

There is also a shooting camp this year.
5th-8th grade is 5/20-5/22 (3:30-5:45pm )
