Hendricks County Emergency Management Agency

US 40 Fifteen minute Closures scheduled in Hendricks County Tomorrow
HENDRICKS COUNTY, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announce U.S. 40 traffic will be stopped for approximately15 minutes tomorrow on Tuesday, February 6 beginning after 8 a.m. Hendricks Power will be stringing new power lines across U.S. 40 between County Road 200 and 350 West. There will be numerous times traffic will be stopped for the operation. Motorists are encouraged to seek an alternate route.
INDOT reminds motorists to follow the posted work zone speed limit, use caution and consider worker safety when traveling through a construction zone.

Snow amounts will generally be 1 to 3” with ice amounts less than a quarter of an inch. Winds will increase during Friday. Freezing rain is expected to begin around 4:30 am Changing to snow around 6:00 am. Due to rain changing to freezing rain/ice pretreatment of roadways will not take place. DPW will have to treat the roadways as this event is taking place. Plainfield DPW crews will arrive at 3:30 Friday morning in preparation of the change over from rain to freezing rain/ice. Crews will concentrate on main drags, bridges, hills, curves and roundabouts. Secondary streets and neighborhoods streets could remain slick during the rush hour. As always please travel with caution! Be safe out there! More updates as we have them.
