With a wave of heat spreading over the country, please don't forget to find shade and cool places, stay hydrated, and know the signs of heat-related illness.

Signs of Heat Exhaustion include muscle cramping, increased heart rate, nausea or vomiting, sweating, clammy skin, and dizziness. Heat Stroke is a medical emergency. Signs include decreased level of consciousness, confusion or agitation, elevated heart rate, excessive sweating, nausea, or vomiting. As it can be difficult to differentiate between the two, when in doubt, seek medical care. And don't forget your skin. Protect it from the sun too by using plenty of sunscreen.

We are thrilled to share that our very own Steve Emery has been recognized by the Indiana Department of Homeland Security during this year's EMS Week! With a career spanning over 40 years, Steve has been a pillar of dedication, professionalism, and compassion in the EMS community.

Prioritizing Poison Prevention Week with Priority Ambulance! 🚨

This week, we're joining the nationwide effort to raise awareness about poison prevention and the importance of keeping our homes and communities safe. From household cleaners to medications and chemicals, it's crucial to take proactive steps to prevent accidental poisonings.

Here are some important tips to keep in mind:

💊 Store medications securely: Keep all medications, including prescription drugs and over-the-counter medications, out of reach of children and pets. Consider using childproof containers or locking cabinets to prevent accidental ingestion.

🧪️ Handle chemicals with care: Store household cleaners, pesticides, and other chemicals in their original containers and away from food and beverages. Always follow label instructions and use protective gear when handling hazardous substances.

🌿️ Be cautious with household plants: Some common houseplants can be toxic if ingested by humans or pets. Research the toxicity of indoor plants and keep them out of reach if necessary.
