Our celebrations continue! Chris Dalesandro was recognized with our second annual DAISY Nurse Leader Award. Chris was nominated 52 times by her colleagues and associates!

One of her nominators said, "Chris is an amazing nurse leader. She leads by example with a kind heart. She starts every shift with a trip around the unit to check in with night-shifters and day-shifters as they give and get reports. Her door is always open, and her phone is always on. If Chris doesn't know the answer to your question, she knows who will. Chris has worked incredibly hard to keep our unit fully staffed, and she works tirelessly to ensure that our new hire staff feel that they are supported as an essential part of the team. Chris does all of this with the patients in mind. She is dedicated to providing the best quality care for each of our patients. You can often find Chris answering call lights, providing care, or walking with a patient on the unit. The reasons that Chris should receive this accolade are too numerous to list here but felt deeply by each of her staff and the patients whose lives she affects."

Congratulations, Chris! 🌼
