hich leads to Florida teacher certification. In April 2017, JTR received a $1.4 million grant from the National Science Foundation to support the work of the 2017-18 residents (Cohort 4). The grant will provide a $10K/year salary supplement for four years as well as the opportunity for residents to collaborate with UNF math and science faculty to create new and exciting learning opportunities for students. Program Benefits:

- $20,000 living stipend during residency year (paid biweekly)
- Master of Arts in Teaching degree (M.A.T.) from the University of North Florida with full tuition reimbursement option
- Yearlong teaching apprenticeship with a master mentor teacher
- Cohort learning community
- Job placement after residency year
- $10K/year supplement to Duval County's teacher salary during first 4 years of teaching
- 4 years of induction support

Commitment:
- 5 years total (residency year + 4 years of full-time teaching)

Requirements:
- An undergraduate or graduate degree in a STEM field
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher in the last 60 credit hours of undergraduate study
-Take the GRE by August 1, 2017
- A passion and desire to make a difference through teaching, especially in the urban setting
