Can you believe it? Our New Bucs have officially been on campus for a week!

Reflecting on our first night together brings back such great memories! We remember the excitement of meeting each of you for the first time. Ohh what a great time!

We blinked, and all of a sudden, Preview is over. How can it be??

And just like that, we’re done with Preview Training. We couldn’t be more excited to see you New Bucs tomorrow night! 🤩

Our last Freshman Friday of the summer was today, and it was so bittersweet! As sad as we are for summer to be ending, that just means we’re one day closer to Preview!

We have one more orientation for the summer on August 9th, so see the rest of you New Bucs then!

Another awesome week of orientations! This summer has been so fun, and we cannot wait to welcome home the rest of our Buccaneers!

Some of our POLO leaders have been doing such great things this summer! From internships to traveling the world, they are doing it all!

We can’t believe that we are halfway through orientation season already…

Can we just do this forever?!

Wow, what a great first two weeks of orientation! Now it’s time for a well-deserved week-long break!

In the meantime, if you still haven’t been to orientation yet, here are some things to do to get you ahead of the game:
1. Complete your immunization requirements.
2. Submit citizenship/residency verification documents.
3. Submit ACT/SAT test scores.
4. Submit a 2024-2025 FAFSA.
5. Upload your ID card photo.
6. Apply for on-campus housing.
7. Submit final transcripts.

Fun fact: Did you know that we offer golf carts for easy accessibility during orientation? Plus, we have some amazing chauffeurs!

Today is ETSU Day of Giving!

POLO has given each individual leader an experience to remember. We are so grateful for each and every one of them. So to give back, we have created the POLO Scholarship Fund. Our goal is 103 donors. Can we count on you?

Did someone say free food? Us leaders can never say no to FREE. Shout out to Auntie Ruth’s for the free donuts & cake pops for their soft opening today.

Our leaders got to show off their ETSU spirit at today’s jersey-themed meeting. GO BUCS!!

The ETSU Farmers Market started back up today so we had to go try some of the vendors. Early Bird Coffee was a top favorite along with churros from L’Churros.

Spring break recap!

We had such a good past week traveling all over with our leaders. We sure do miss the warm weather but happy to be back together in Johnson City!

We are so proud of all of our Leaders and what they accomplished this past weekend at SROW! Our interns got to present at the conference and our very own Mattie received the “NODA’s Outstanding Undergraduate Student Leader Award”. Huge shout-out to Abby & Jahlil for creating the dance, which brought us home an award. Lastly, thank you so much to Micah and Gabe for capturing all the great memories.

One reason why we love the Southern Regional Orientation Workshop is because we get to meet Orientation Leaders from all over the South!

We love having POLO Leaders who serve in executive roles for other organizations on campus! These leaders help to bring unique ideas and leadership styles to POLO. Let’s hear what Rickell has to say about serving as the PR Chair for Black Affairs:
“My favorite things about being PR (social media manager) are working on my marketing skills as well as promoting this amazing program. I love getting to make flyers and share the news about upcoming events. Some of my favorite things about this organization are that we can all relate to the same things we go through and it’s always nice having a family away from home! I also love celebrating Black History Month with this organization! We have great educational events almost every day, and it expands our knowledge!”

Our leaders had the best time at retreat! This weekend gave so many opportunities to bond, grow as leaders, and make friends. We can’t wait to see all they accomplish this Summer!
