M.Ed. Student Anne Godfrey traveled to Cambridge, England to gather information for her capstone project on higher education fundraising.
She met with the medical fundraising team and got a tour of the Cambridge Medical facilities.
ETSU is hosting information sessions for *anyone* interested in volunteering to provide hands-on support for disaster recovery efforts across the region in the wake of Hurricane Helene’s devastating impact. These sessions help equip volunteers with the skills and knowledge they need to effectively support recovery efforts.
More than 400 students and employees at ETSU attended sessions held last week. Additional in-person and online sessions have been added to the schedule:
- Monday, October 7 at 11:30 a.m. on Zoom
- Tuesday, October 8 at 3 p.m. in the D.P. Culp Student Center Auditorium
- Tuesday, October 8 at 6 p.m. on Zoom

ELPA grad in the Alumni Spotlight!
Having received a BS in Psychology from Florida State University and a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from University of South Florida, Megan Roberts chose ETSU to earn her EdD in Higher Education Leadership. Currently living in Jonesborough, Tennessee, Megan is Director of Academic Affairs for the Tennessee Higher Education Commission. The education she received at ETSU with focus on policy analysis, organizational leadership, and educational research applies to her daily work. Her advice for students is to take advantage of every learning opportunity ETSU offers. Megan and her husband, Ross, have two children, Quinn and Graham, and a dog named Simon.

"Mrs. Hensley has worked tirelessly to vision, build, and to grow D-B EXCEL as a school. She has worked to lead the school to support the specialized and personalized experience that supports the unique needs of a wide range of students. Through the process, they have found great success with their Underwater Robotics Program, Bio-Builder Synthetic Biology Club, and have been recognized as a STEM-designated school. Hensley is in her 22nd year as an educator, with 21 of those years being in Kingsport.
