During summer intersession our students participated in the faculty led program Journey to Japan: Past and Present.
Our students got to have an immersive experience where they honed their language skills and learned about another culture.
We look forward to going again next year!
On Sunday, April 28th, Maison Française de Cleveland held their annual award ceremony in which two MCLS students were awarded prizes for their essays and presentations in French.
Haydn Colucci, a senior French major was awarded first prize.
Carolyn Carlson, a senior biology major and French minor was awarded fifth prize.
Congratulations to all students for all their great work!
Thank you for all the support for Language Day! On April 4th, MCLS hosted Language Day where student's got to share presentations on the languages and cultures they are learning about. The presentations were followed by delicious food and fun activities!

The evening was filled with delicious Slavic foods such as Russian Apple Pie, Pryaniki, Russian potato salad, and other delicious treats!
