Everyone had a great time sporting their all black outfits for November's Spirit Day, black out!

Our Annual Halloween party was a huge success. Everyone enjoyed dancing, games, and the costume contest. The pizza, deserts, and candy were a special treat!

October 30th is Speak up for Service Day in Osceola County. We are always looking for volunteers who want to share a special talent or some of their time to engage or enrich our clients' lives. Feel free to contact us if you are interested in volunteering!

We are grateful to Brandon Arrington, Osceola Commissioner District 3 for his generous donation of 60 new tablets that our individuals can use to continue their learning. The tablets will be used to access a variety of educational and recreational resources. They will be able to learn at their own pace and on their own schedule. This is a great opportunity for our clients to learn new skills and information that will help them reach their goals.

We want to shout out Jessica and the Mullis family for their wonderful donation of arts and craft supplies for our day training program. We know everyone will have a great time expressing their creativity! The support we receive from our families is truly appreciated!

A special thank you to Louise and Richie for their donation from our registry. Although Richie no longer attends our day program, since he and his sister moved out of state, they will always be a part of our Opportunity Center family. We miss you both and appreciate everything!

Our senior clients had tons of fun at Seniors Fun Day sponsored by Viviana Janer Osceola County Commissioner District 2. Thank you for hosting an inclusive event for all seniors!

We are so thankful to AdventHealth Kissimmee for the donation of a Hoyer Lift. This lift will ensure our clients can be lifted and transferred safely and with dignity! It will also help prevent staff injuries. We are so appreciative of the support we receive from companies like AdventHealth who allow us to further our mission and provide quality services.

Today we celebrated all of our individuals with an October Birthday. We hope you have a wonderful birthday this month and look forward to celebrating many more to come!

We hope everyone made it through the storm safely with minimal damage. We are happy to say our building made it through with no damage. However, we have decided to stay closed tomorrow to allow additional time for roads to be cleared and electricity restored to additional areas. We will reopen on Monday, October 14, 2024.

We will be closed on Wednesday 10/9 and Thursday 10/10. We plan to re-open regular hours on Friday 10/11, if conditions allow. We will update our page with any changes. Stay safe everyone!

The Opportunity Center will be open regular hours on Tuesday. We are closely monitoring the path and timing of Hurricane Milton and will make decisions regarding Wednesday and Thursday to ensure everyone's safety.

Our wonderful individuals continue giving back to their local community. This week they dropped off a large donation of adult incontinence supplies to The Council On Aging, who were in need for their clients. Nonprofits working together is truly what allows us to continue to serve this wonderful community we call home!

In honor of National Disability Employment Awareness Month our individuals and staff came dressed to impress today!

Today everyone enjoyed a movie and popcorn as we kicked off the Halloween season with Beetlejuice!

Today we had the honor of being presented with a generous donation from the Kissimmee Elks Lodge #1873. This donation will help further of mission of empowering individuals by providing employment placement, person-centered training and community integration for adults with disabilities! It is amazing what can can be accomplished with support from the community.
