Meet “Coach”

Coach Taylor’s love for crossfit began in 2017 when he attended his first class at Crossfit Lafayette. During his first year as a member, he not only lost 50 pounds but gained a love for crossfit and the community that crossfit provides.

In 2019, Taylor decided to get his Level 1 Crossfit Certification & began coaching at Crossfit Lafayette. During his time as a coach, Taylor opened up more available class times and began to attract more members to the gym.

After 4 years of coaching an opportunity to purchase the gym became available, and Taylor officially became the owner of Crossfit Lafayette on August 8th, 2023.
Taylor’s goal as owner/coach at Crossfit Lafayette is to provide the best possible experience for anyone that walks into the gym. His positive mindset, work ethic, and willingness to help others is why he is such an amazing coach, owner, & friend. Crossfit Lafayette is lucky to have Taylor Sturgis, and we cannot wait to see the amazing things he is going to continue to do for the gym and this community.
