Today’s adventures in notary-ing with Lancaster PA Notary! 🚗

🔹 My alarm went off bright & early to shower & get ready for my Tuesday morning networking with BNI York 1. I laid back down FOR JUST A FEW MINUTES and didn’t set an alarm. Yep, you all know what happened. Oops. 😵‍💫 See you next week, BNI friends!

🔹 Met up with my Dot sisters Jen Larsh & Tara Waltman (and sweet Waverly!) at Scratch Bakes Cafe in Ephrata. The cutest café ever!

🔹 Next I traveled to Hospice & Community Care in Mt Joy to assist siblings with their mom’s will & POA. These appointments are so emotional, but it is truly an honor to walk with these families during such a difficult time. I received a 5-star review by the time I got back home.

🔹 I received another 5-star review, this one from an estate planning & living trust appointment from Thursday.

🔹 I love receiving snail mail and today didn’t disappoint! A Starbucks gift card and a thank you card signed by some of the new real estate agents at Keller Williams in Lebanon, thanking me for speaking to them earlier this month on how I grew my network from scratch and the importance of building relationships. Thank you Kat Richter, Realtor for inviting me to share with your awesome new realtors! 😊

Friday’s adventures in notary-ing with Lancaster PA Notary! 🚗

🔹 My day started bright & early in a Turkey Hill parking lot, where Michelle from Yorktowne Settlement Co met me to hand off a buyer’s package.

🔹 I drove to Camp Hill to do my first closing of the day. It was my first time doing a cash closing and my first time doing new construction. I conducted the closing in the model home, which was beautifully staged, so I had to turn the dining room table into a settlement table. Everything went great!

🔹 I had some extra time before my next closing, so I stopped at my favorite place for an early lunch - Neato Burrito!

🔹 My next closing was also in Camp Hill, a buyer’s package with just a few seller’s docs. Most of the seller’s docs had been pre-signed. The buyers had lots of questions & side conversations with their agent, so this one took just over an hour, but otherwise went great!

🔹 Drove to York to drop off the docs from both closings at Yorktowne Settlement. Muchos gracias to my girly Katie Harper for trusting me with her clients on these 2 closings.

🔹 My day ended with a family dinner at Plaza Azteca Lancaster, where we met Ethan’s girlfriend India for the first time. They’ve been dating for about a year. She is incredibly sweet! ♥️

We’re headed to NJ for the weekend to visit with family & friends, so no weekend notary-ing for this chick!

Next on my summer reading list…

Author Stephen Covey coined the term “abundance mindset” in his best-selling book, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.

An abundance mindset is the belief that there are plenty of resources and opportunities available for everyone. People with this mindset focus on the positives, are optimistic about the future, and believe that their actions can create more success and happiness.

Examples of an abundance mindset:

1. Sharing Ideas: Instead of keeping good ideas to yourself out of fear that someone else might steal them, you freely share your thoughts, believing that collaboration can lead to even better outcomes.
2. Celebrating Others’ Successes: When someone else succeeds, you feel genuinely happy for them and see their success as proof that you can succeed too, rather than feeling jealous or threatened.
3. Taking Risks: You are open to trying new things and taking risks because you believe that even if one opportunity doesn’t work out, there will be others.
4. Giving Generously: Whether it’s time, money, or knowledge, you give generously, confident that you will have enough for yourself and that giving can create more goodwill and opportunities.
5. Learning from Failures: Instead of seeing failures as the end, you see them as valuable learning experiences that can help you grow and improve.

In contrast, a scarcity mindset is when someone believes resources are limited and that they must compete against others to get their share, often leading to feelings of fear, jealousy, and anxiety.

🔹 I started my morning bright & early at the Out Door Country Club with my BNI York 1 chapter meeting. Call my girl Kayla Rae Stone with Lemonade Property Services for all your household pest needs! 🐜 🐜

🔹 After BNI, I met Melanie Caputo with White Rose Settlement Services, Inc. for coffee at Belmont Bean Co. Melanie is a Polka Dot sister from the York chapter and also BNI York 3 chapter. This connect took months to happen, but well worth it! ♥️

🔹 I practiced some self care by getting a much overdue pedicure and reading a few pages in my book on building relationships.

🔹 I traveled to Lititz to notarize HELOC paperwork, then off to…

🔹…Cocktails & Connections, a Women in Business event, with the Northern Lancaster County Chamber of Commerce. About 40 ladies gathered in the air conditioned ballroom for conversation & networking. Thank you Liz Ackerman & Tara Zilling!

🔹 I traveled to Brethern Village rehab to notarize an estate planning package for a lovely lady. 😊

🔹 My notary friend Wendy Diem Diem Notary & Paralegal Services, LLC & I traveled to The Notary Hotel, Philadelphia, Autograph Collection in Center City for happy hour with about 40 other notaries from the tri-state area and beyond, and leaders/faculty from Notary Business Builder, the online notary community that Wendy & I belong to.

I loved seeing my Philly notary friends Mobile - Traveling Notary Philadelphia-Lisa Joy Phillips & Dolores Flynn Fickenscher QUILL Notary, who are part of our Monday morning notary masterminds group. Four of us notaries do a weekly video call where we offer support, accountability, brainstorming, ideas, advice, etc.

It was awesome seeing Bill Soroka & Judi Lawrence Lawrence Institute for Notaries from the Notary Business Builder community! See you at Philly Social 2024!! 😃

This week’s adventures in real estate closings with Lancaster PA Notary! 🏠

This was a fantastic week for referrals and I’m incredibly grateful for my network of realtors & title companies who know, like & trust me! 😊

🔹 This week I did 2 closings for ONE Abstract, LLC in Lancaster city. Monday was a seller only closing. Today was a full buyer/seller closing. These were both referrals from the fabulous Shelly Burkholder with Guild Mortgage! 😍

🔹 I traveled to Ephrata on Tuesday morning to notarize closing papers for a PSECU HELOC. This gentleman follows me on Facebook and reached out for my assistance.

🔹 On Tuesday afternoon, I finally got to work with the fabulous Kat Richter with The Dahlia Group on a last minute closing for her sellers. I loved being a part of making this happen for Kat’s clients! 😊

🔹 Tonight, I headed across the river to York to complete a 6:30 buyer’s closing for my BNI girl Katie Harper at Yorktowne Settlement Co. I waited months to work with Katie and it did not disappoint….the docs were flagged & waiting for me and she paid me on the spot! Could not have gone smoother….thank you for thinking of me, Katie! ♥️
