This family recently lost their cat after 15 years, and signed up to become a foster. They couldn't wait so when they saw Laney and Lola on our website, they rushed in to meet them. Both cats came out to say hello, charming them with head butts and purrs. They fell in love with them immediately, and decided to adopt instead of foster! They had been looking for two bonded female cats, and after hearing that these two were found in a backpack, abandoned at a local church, they were even more sold! Laney went back to her nap after we told her she was going home so she missed the photo opp, but Lola happily posed!

Momz is a gentle senior cat who had quite the bumpy road before arriving at Homeward Bound. Sadly, she became homeless as a product of a broken marriage and her dad tragically losing his home. Unfortunately, Momz not only came to us scared, stressed, and distrusting but also displaying various unusual physical symptoms, which alerted us to the fact that she likely had something medical going on, too. We sent her to Tropicana Animal Hospital, and after running several diagnostics, they found what appeared to be some kind of intestinal blockage. Currently, Momz is in the compassionate care of their team while we work to figure out what's going on. This kind girl continues to reveal her appreciation of the great care she is receiving with consistent purrs to everyone in the veterinary clinic.

Well hello, I'm Jacques. I originally arrived at Homeward Bound back in 2019 as a kitten and later that year was adopted by a sweet lady. She also adopted my best friend, Vivenne! Together, the three of us lived happily in a quiet home. We spent evenings cuddling on the couch watching TV.

Fast forward five years later, and our owner passed away. We both miss her so much, but we've settled back into the Homeward Bound routine. We can both be timid at first, but once we settle in you'll see our sweetness and charm. I lounge atop the cat tree and Viv plays peekaboo. When it's quiet, we really shine, coming out to say hello and accept all the pets we can get. So, if you think you'd like to meet us, come on down! Hi, we’re Oliver (orange) and Pepper (brown), and we are 5-year-old brothers who were adopted from a local shelter as kittens. Our person recently lost their job, is preparing for a new baby, and concerned about financials—especially because Pepper just had a urinary blockage requiring emergency surgery to save his life. Pepper is now much better, but will require an ongoing special diet, and given the financial struggles, their family has decided finding them a new home is best.

Pepper is very friendly and loving. He loves cuddles and being picked up—he’ll actually hug you and wrap his arms around you and purr very loud. He loves to sit next to and on humans. He will take all the love and never gets tired of it! He just wants attention 24/7. He will sit with you while you’re watching TV and follow you all around the house at all times of the day.

Oliver is very friendly and not shy at all. He’s very outgoing and is for sure a lap cat that not only wants but will demand your attention. Even if you don’t want to give it, he will force himself on you and get in your face with a loud purr and pretty much force you to pet him! He is not a cat who will entertain himself and just be present. Oliver will most definitely demand your attention and is not the usual house cat. He wants to be on your lap and in your face at all times!

Will You Help Melon? 🐾👇

Meet Melon, a darling three-month-old kitten found by two good Samaritans. He was underweight, his eyes were foggy and opaque, and his tail was crooked. After receiving him at our adoption center, we quickly took him over to one of our veterinarian partners where he was assessed and diagnosed with Giardia, a microscopic parasite that causes an intestinal illness. We were told Giardia can also cause fogginess in the eyes, so we're hopeful that his medical treatment will resolve that as well. His tail was broken from an old injury that healed, so thankfully no treatment was needed. Melon is currently in foster care receiving medication and brings joy to his foster family every single day. Despite being sick he's affectionate, curious, and playful, and his crooked tail makes him all the more cute! Some say the eyes are the window into the soul, and this sweet soul is doing his best to get better every day and readying himself to meet a loving new family!

Melon needs your support while we work through his medical journey. Happy Tail! Doxie, the last of his litter of kittens, was adopted! ❤

His new family had one other cat and they almost look like identical twins! They fell in love right away with his sweet personality and the fact that he likes to be held like a baby! Congrats Doxie!

King of the Jungle, that's me! I'm Simba, a confident, outgoing guy who likes to spend his time with people. Since I like to be King, I'd do best in a home without other pets. We know this because in my previous home, I was somewhat of a bully to other cats. Happy Tail! Houdini, now Chip, came to us earlier in the summer from Community Cat Angels. They told us he was dumped outside, into one of their colonies, when his owner moved. He was so friendly it was clear he wasn't just a street cat--he belonged indoors in a home! He wasn't with us too long before he was adopted by Will, and look at him now! Will just sent an update and said he loves his new home... and we're pretty sure those photos tell the same story. ❤😽

Noir (F; Mama), and her four kittens, Persephone (F), Jinx (M), Minx (M), and Spooky (M) are in need of loving new homes! Noir was found in the spring, pregnant and alone. Her finder, Brittany, had her scanned for a microchip (she did not have one) and posted her on a number of lost pet pages. No home was found, so Brittany kept her safe while she delivered her kittens. Since then, she’s raised them to be social, sweet, playful, cuddly kittens! Mom is also incredibly loving and gentle. Mom's age is unknown but she appears young; her kittens are about 4 months old. We have provided Brittany with low-cost options for spay/neuter and vaccines, but she is lining up homes now. Well hi there, I'm Summer. I have quiet the story! I was found outside of an abandoned house. I was all alone and struggling in the Vegas heat. Thankfully, a kind woman took me to a vet clinic right away. After some fluids and good A/C I was feeling better than ever! She searched and searched for my owners but did not have any luck. She decided to bring me to Homeward Bound for the best chance to find my purrfect home!

I have settled in quickly and am the ring leader of my kitty suite. I LOVE to play laser or with a wand toy. My favorite place to hang out is in the tunnel! When a friendly person walks in, I immediately jump up and meow for pets. I truly am the sweetest girl and would love to be your best friend! Meet me today! She’s very calm and quiet, loves to rub against your legs and is always happy to be near you. She loves to be rubbed on her shoulders, too! She’d be great in a home that is also quiet and calm, and low activity.

Two of our adorable kittens were adopted as soon as we opened the doors today! Foxie and Moxie are going home together to a wonderful family who have been missing having cats! And, it was the daughter's birthday and while she only planned on adopting one kitten, she begged Dad for two... and clearly he said yes! Congrats Foxie and Moxie!

"As a family, we collectively came up with a new name and he now goes by Oliver! Oliver is such a lover! When he first came home he would hide under the bed and not come out all day... until nighttime, when he would hop in bed with me and want to cuddle and give me all kinds of kitty cat kisses! Oliver is such a lover boy! He's been introduced to my other animals (Mello, a snowshoe siamese, and Phobe, a tuxedo)who were very intrigued when Oliver came home. Oliver & Mello are now 2 peas in a pod. Phobe keeps her distance but every now and then will say hello to him! Oliver loves to sleep! His favorite place is the bed! He eats like a heavyweight champion and he's been a great addition to our family! We love him and he even responds to his new name!!! He also loves to keep everyone up with the midnight conversations between him and my other cat Mello! We love him so much and we are very grateful for the work you and the volunteers do to get these babies a good home! Phoebe and Mello came from HBCA as well!
