This is not about me, its about all those in the DR and elsewhere that are ding everything they can and have to help curb the population of cats and dogs and educate those who know no difference in killing these animals. I did not do a lot of street outreach, but took in at the clinic the extremely despirate. Many may have survived if we had the proper medical tools, but that is limited in the DR. These people are the heros, the ones that go out day after day to look after these animals. We all need your help.

It is with a heavy heart that I report on the mass poisoning of dogs in San Pedro De Marcios. I do not have a number of how many were killed, but 1 is too many. This is why our reach and Spay and Neuter programs are so important there. There are many area in the DR that are not being reached. DR Spay and Neuter is looking at doing our first clinic in August in Punta Cana with Rescateme. I will post a list of what will be needed and also monitory donations will be needed. I am looking for 4 vets and 4 techs and hopefully 2 support personal. If you are interested, please contact me.

I will be heading to the DR late in January for a most needed vacation. I am trying to collect items to take with me. I need collars, leashes, flea and tick repellent, any medical supplies you can come up with especially 1 ml and 3my syringes and needles, gauze, peroxide, iodine and 2-0 and 1-0 absorbible suture material. I leave January 19th and if you can spare anything, I would really appreciate it.

These puppies were found in the Cabarete/Sousa area or the Dominican Republic. Their mother was poisoned and they had no one to care for them so they ran around crying for their mama and food. Because they were a nuisance, someone threw boiling water on them. They are in the care of Cats and Dogs of the Dominican Republic and they are in need of donations to help take care of these pups. My thoughts, prayers and soul are with those assisting Rescatame with a Mega spay and neuter clinic this weekend. I am there in spirit. Don't forget to give out Bavaro ear rubs.

I wish and pray that people see the Dominican street dogs the way I do. They may have scars, but once you take the time, you will see that they are beautiful on the inside. Soon I will have a video to come out with this song. I heard it for the first time today and I think it is a beautiful song.

Thank you to everyone who has liked the page so far. It is a work in progress and soon I will be taking donations, monetary or supplies, for what will be our first spay and neuter clinic in the DR next October. Unfortunately it will take that long to get started and everything we need.
