"Met Lyn today and his 16 year old boy called Lyn Junior. They have been together for 16 years and have been homeless for quite awhile. Due to his age Lyn Junior is not as able to eat dry food as well so gave them some wet food instead. Lyn had a stroller that he puts his pup in. He was cooling him off when I arrived. Lyn does not have a phone so couldn't take our details but said he will remember the Street dogz name should he need help as Lyn Junior ages. Very nice duo who are looking forward to it cooling down here soon! Consent given for photo.' Kelly ~ SD volunteer
If you see these two around we're sure they'd love a sandwich and a drink ❤️
We are working on getting Shady into the vet and in the meantime, we brought an elevated bed for him. As you can see he loves it. When we went back today it was gone or they weren't using it because supposedly they can't have a lot of stuff on the sidewalk 🤔 We've heard how much they love the dog from people who stop and help, but this isn't right. He needs to be off the ground, away from the ants. We're hoping to get him to the vet soon.
We have great news! Suhair contacted us about holding a garage sale in her community to benefit Street Dogz petz, but she needs help! If you have a couple of hours available over the October 5 & 6 weekend or have items to donate, please get in touch with Suhair at 702 809-2840 or e-mail at [email protected]. ❤🤍🖤

Russ has seen an eye specialist and received an unfortunate diagnosis of severe glaucoma, meaning his sight will not improve. He is applying for disability benefits through Social Security and hopes to defy his doctor's prognosis. Accepting that he will have to live with impaired vision for the rest of his life is difficult.
We are encouraging him to contact the Blind Center of Nevada for further support and resources.
Street Dogz will be here tomorrow from 11 am to 2 pm ~ Stop by and say hi if you are in the neighborhood!

Due to the continued heatwave we have run out of water and our clients and their pets need it desperately 💦💦. If you can help, you can drop it off at the Clubhouse or have it delivered direct to us (walmart?)

Welfare check follow-up. We've received lots of calls and messages about this dog on the 95 and Boulder Highway underpass. If owner wants to take him to the vet and they do a dental or surgical procedure, we will put them up in a motel room for a couple nights.
"While driving to my homeless deliveries today I remembered a welfare call about someone at the underpass of 95 & Boulder hwy. I stopped under the busy underpass & met Robert & his dog Shady who is 14 years old and had a very large protrusion on his rump. I was very concerned but he said he has had it checked before and they determined it was just fluid inside. After seeing Shady’s teeth I told him he might want to take us up on that POTH visit so he did ask for the information. He said Shady hadn’t been eating very well and he wondered if it had been his teeth hurting him. Robert is homeless and trying to get on his feet he said that he’s working at a job. We provided pet food -both wet & dry, dog shoes, new harness & leash, bowl, toys, treats & something to lay on to keep off the ants. He said this is his first day in this spot." Janice -SD volunteer

Today, we say goodbye to a long-time pup client, Sabre. Living on the streets with pets is challenging, and sometimes, they must leave their pets in the care of others to tend to certain matters. Tragically, Sabre was spooked and ran into the street, where he was struck and killed by a car. The individuals responsible for his care did not even have the decency to retrieve him, leaving Theresa to search for him. Without a phone, she was unable to contact us until today. 😢
We extend our gratitude to Pet Cremation LLC for their support. They picked him up within 45 minutes on this busy holiday weekend and he's now in good hands. RIP Sabre 💔
Delivered to these two today. He is living in a U-Haul van, visiting a friend here. Gave wet, dry, chew bones, squeaky toys, leash, and spray bottles. He is willing to get fixed. Nice man, loves his dog. Bear was so happy with his squeaky toy and large chew bone! 🦴🐾♥️Stephanie~ SD volunteer
"Headed out to find Merala and her four year old boy King today. They have been together since he was a few months old. He's neutered and had all his shots. They have been homeless for about a year and are working with Southern Health to try get off the streets. King was a very big but friendly pup. Merala has done a great job keeping him so healthy and happy in such hard circumstances. Gave shoes, food, spray bottle and toys. Probably one of the first times that the first pair of shoes fit!" Kelly ~ SD volunteer🐾♥️
"Lilly says thanks for wagon! She been without one for about a month and her human got arrested and lost the wheelchair she was in. Now she’s styling!!"
"Fully packed and ready to go! Her owner and Lily are stoked! Plus she has Buddy’s dish." 💜

"Met up with Dylan and his sweet pup Lilly, omg what a doll she is. Dylan has been homeless about a year and about 6 months ago got Lilly when someone was dumping her on the side of the road. He was told she is 3 and spayed, I think she’s younger and most likely not. Dylan will call in to speak with Maris on if he can find out if she is actually spayed. Gave wet/dry food, harness and leash, treats, umbrella and cooling collar." Michele ~ SD volunteer 🐾♥️🐾

"Met up with Jeffrey and his 2 pups. Loki is the chi mix and the big boy is Valentine, both sweet and friendly pups. They received wet/dry dog food, harnesses and leashes, both got shoes, cooling collars, treats, a bowl, sq**rt bottle and umbrella along with water, human snacks along with peanut butter and bread. Jeffrey says he’ll call in, he wants to get Valentine neutered, Loki already is." Michele ~ SD volunteer❤️🤍🖤
"Met up with Darlene and her 2 pups Banger and Charlie today. Provided dry foot, wet food, water and treats. They were living out of their car but it's currently broken down. Darlene found Charlie the white pup in a dumpster and they have been together since 2016. Banger was also a rescue. Very protective of their mom. Charlie is neutered and Darlene is going to contact Heaven can wait to get Banger neutered also. We tried to get shoes on both but were unable." Kelly-SD volunteer ❤️🤍🖤
"Responded to a call for food at Jaycee Park this afternoon. Duchess needed food and water. Duchess is new to Street Dogz but Douglas and Bear who are regular clients took charge to help me find their camp. Also met Dude a very sweet boy who got shoes, food, harness and water. It was so good to see Bear and Douglas had made it through the worst of a very hot summer. Consent given for all photos". Kelly ~ SD volunteer
Please share! They are currently living with the owners, Lindi and Yvonne. If potentially interested, please call 702-496-3647 ❤️🐾

"Thank you Michele Zogg for getting Dan some sandals (size 17). I popped over real quick and it turns out he was soaking in the big tub behind the wooden panels so I gave them to Lauren and they were very appreciative. I told her that another person was checking with the NBA to see about size 17 shoes ( Ronni Land)" . Janice ~ SD volunteer
