hosts a monthly event called “Take What You Need” (TWYN), where students can see and access their entire inventory of daily necessity items (hygiene products, nonperishable food, school supplies, clothing/linens, cleaning supplies, childcare items, and more) and essentially shop the space. All items are free to students, and they can also directly access items by visiting their office between events.

The items are obtained through grant funding from the Department of Education (typically hygiene and food items from Amazon and Sam’s Club purchases), UMOK pallets (typically food, hygiene, linens, and school supplies), and direct donations from UNLV and community members (typically clothing and household items).

Their TWYN events support an average of 300 students per month, and they see an average of 50-60 students directly visiting their office each month!

To support, give a follow!
