Join us in congratulating six-year-old Nolan on his graduation from kindergarten! 🎓 Nolan's family was a part of the TRF program for nearly two years through TRF partner Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, traveling from their home in Las Vegas for treatment. Not only is Nolan celebrating the end of kindergarten, but he is also celebrating two years post-bone marrow transplant, with his brother who was his donor. We are proud to serve families like Nolan’s.

Did you know that an estimated 3,657 children are living with a brain tumor in the U.S.? with us for Brain Cancer Awareness Month. For children diagnosed with cancer, including brain tumors, their childhoods are interrupted, and the impact on the entire family is devastating.

TRF is here to support families as they cope with their child's cancer diagnosis, providing resources to lessen both the financial and emotional burdens. Together, we can make a difference.

🤩 What an INCREDIBLE weekend! Our TRF families and ambassadors in Canada truly outdid themselves, raising over $29,000 for during their third annual "Go the Distance" stationary bike challenge! 🚲

For family members who have experienced the loss of a child to cancer, join TRF mom Danielle as she hosts Virtual Bereavement Family Support Group meetings every third Thursday of the month.

In honor of her son Kaiden, she provides a space where families who have lost their children to pediatric cancer can come together to support one another. Last month, Jesse Robinson, Tyler's brother, joined to share his experience of life after his brother's passing. Did you know this week marks Adolescent and Young Adult Cancer Awareness Week? AYA Cancer Awareness Week highlights the unique challenges faced by young cancer fighters aged 15 to 39. With around 89,000 young people in the US alone diagnosed with cancer each year, their journey comes with unique challenges like managing school during or after treatment, frustrations with peers who may not understand their experience, and navigating life after cancer.

Introducing Haley, a fourteen-year-old TRF Kid from Ohio! With three siblings, her father is currently providing care for her at home, while her mother works as a nurse in the Newborn ICU. They joined the TRF Signature Grant Program in December 2022.

Her mom shares, "TRF has been a tremendous support as we battle through this journey. We are a very close family, and the separation during treatment and hospitalizations is difficult. As you can imagine, finances during treatment are tight. I am slowly getting back to work, and as we pay off medical bills, we're also trying to rebuild our savings."

March is Social Worker Month AND Child Life Month! We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the awe-inspiring social workers and child life specialists at TRF's partner hospitals. Social workers play a crucial role in assisting families seeking support through our grant applications, and child life specialists have a profound impact on the emotional safety of children during their cancer treatments. We are , ensuring that no one faces pediatric cancer alone.

Say hi to TRF kid, Maliya, from Northern Nevada, who recently turned twelve! She is one of four siblings and was diagnosed with Stage 3 brain cancer at just seven years old. Maliya's journey includes treatment at TRF partner hospitals, UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital in Oakland, California, and Seattle Children's Hospital in Washington. Since 2021, Maliya's family has received support from TRF's Family Grant Program, aiding with rent and travel expenses for her treatment. Maliya has an MRI scheduled for March to assess her progress. Let's send Maliya and her family some love and encouragement!
