Abbie Kemp and Chluey Acanto represented ACHS as ambassadors at the Hugh O’Brien Youth Leadership Seminar held at Berea College last week. HOBY Kentucky’s mission is to inspire and develop a global community of youth and volunteers to a life dedicated to leadership, service, and innovation. Over the next year, Abigail and Chluey will complete 100 hours of community service as a follow up to the program. We are so proud of these two ACHS leaders and look forward to watching them grow and inspire others to make a difference in the community.
Incoming juniors, Will Norris and Elly Mowers, have just returned from the Hugh O'Brian Youth (HOBY) Leadership Program. Since 1979, HOBY has been empowering students to become impactful leaders. Will and Elly joined other exceptional high school students at Berea College to enhance their leadership skills, focusing on becoming effective and ethical leaders in their homes, schools, and communities. We're also proud of incoming senior Zayna Yazigi, who returned to HOBY this year as a Team Alumni to lend her support.
