GLMV Coats For Vets 2024 Now Underway
With winter around the corner, it’s time once again for the 5th Annual Green Oaks, Libertyville, Mundelein, Vernon Hills (GLMV) Coat Drive for Vets. All are welcome to donate winter coats, jackets, and other seasonal outerwear, which will be provided to our local veterans in need and their families through Midwest Veteran’s Closet (MVC), a not-for-profit charity that provides free clothing and other items to our former soldiers, and others.
Collection boxes are located at GLMV municipalities, police departments, and various business throughout the towns. “Our winter coat collection for veterans is a great way to show our support and thank our vets for their amazing service,” said GLMV President Scott Adams.

Friends and neighbors dusted off their lederhosen and said ‘pretzel’ at GLMV/MainStreet Libertyville Annual Oktoberfest in Libertyville - Mickey Finn’s back lot Friday, September 20 and Saturday, September 21. All enjoyed live music, a fein selection of seasonal brews, nosh and traditional Bavarian bier sport like Hammerschlagen or Masskrugstemmen, Family Time with kids activities at this unique community event.

Tickets for the event are $25 and include a $10 day-of-event shopping coupon for use at participating stores, one complimentary drink, and light appetizers at the after-party. Tickets are limited!!!
