We are playing Lacrosse today at Laing lake at 3:00 p.m.

10/19/2024

What a Day of Lacrosse!!!!

We played well as a team, but came up short against the players from Wyoming.

Our High School Middies and Attack managed to put 2 on the board for us. So I see that as a win.

Being able to score against a D1 defense is huge.

I am very proud of our Alliance Lacrosse team.

Thank you for showing up.

Santee Society of Care,

This was the first year that the Society of Care offered an internship program. Students from Santee, Macy, and Walthill worked with staff to offer over 430 hours of service, completed a college course, attended an 8 hour financial literacy class, took career planning assessments, had college visits, planned cultural, educational and healthy events like Sweat Lodge Ceremonies, Pow Wow Planning, ribbon skirt classes, beading classes, 3 on 3 bball tournaments, a book club, and wellness club.

Today, we celebrated our interns with a recognition luncheon and awards. Students learned skills in time management, event planning, budgeting, speaking skills, presentation and much more.

So allow me to introduce them to and tell them congratulations!

L-R: Healthy Transitions Director-Lisa Bickert, Representing; NICC intern Kyleigh Merrick, Walthill-Espy de Angel, Omaha Nations-Jaya Ross, Youth Coordinator-Shailece Porter, Santee interns-Kylily Medina, Jake LaPlante, Yamni Tuttle, Outreach-Waylon LaPlante (absent-Kellen Medina)
