The Pulaski County Assessor’s Office is currently working on identifying properties impacted by the March 31st tornado. Our aerial imagery provider has already flown the county to collect images of impacted areas. The damage caused by the tornado will affect many 2023 real estate assessments.
Pursuant to Arkansas Code Ann. §26-26-1107, we will be working to identify, revalue, and assess all real estate or improvements on real estate which have been damaged by the tornado over the next couple of months. If your real estate, home, or business was damaged, you may reach out to our office at (501)340-3512 to ensure that we are aware that your property was impacted.
Additionally, May 31st is the deadline to assess personal property. If you had personal property that was damaged or destroyed on March 31st, we will need to adjust your personal property assessment. You may call our office at (501)340-6181 to report the loss of personal property.
Our hearts go out to all those affected by these terrible storms.
While we realize that assessment is probably not the highest priority for those who have lost their homes or suffered significant property damage, we are working to alleviate what burden we can for our taxpayers. Unfortunately, this will not have any impact on the tax bills that are currently due.
