Masha’Allah- these are just a few of the beautiful mothers of MASLB. We don’t need only one day a year to celebrate our mothers, for heaven lies underneath their feet everyday of the year. Alhamdulillah for our mothers for all their love, care, and guidance. And holding all those who grieve- missing their mothers who have transitioned into the Hereafter, those far away because of war, gen o cide, economic necessity, incarceration, those having all kinds of hard relations with their mothers, those having to had mother themselves, those with babies awaiting them in Jannah, and those longing to be mothers. We see you and we care about you. May Allah grant you healing and the deep longings of your hearts. Ameen.

We’re thrilled to announce our collaboration with to bring the Resilience Toolkit for Muslimahs to our community! As we’ve gathered together nightly for iftars and taraweeh prayers, we’ve felt the strength and joy of community. Let’s keep this spirit alive and thriving in the months ahead. 🤲

This unique opportunity in May invites our sisters across Los Angeles (and beyond) to connect, share, and grow with women from diverse communities, backgrounds, alongside women wellness practitioners, therapists, and staff from various Muslim organizations. Together we will host two virtual workshops series in English and one in Arabic- with an in-person brunch celebration on May 26 at 11am at MASLB.

In the face of challenges, from witnessing and advocating against the geno cides in Pal estine, Sudan, the Congo and violence and oppression in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Kashmir, the Uyghurs in China and many other places Muslims where are suffering, to confronting Islamophobia, meanwhile working, going to school, and caring for families – we’re carrying a heavy load. Come learn wellness framework and tools to navigate the stress and trauma all this causes. This initiative offers a sanctuary for sisters learning, building connections, and maintaining our cherished sense of community. 🌹

Join us in practice of resilience. Together we can hold up our Ummah. 💖

By way of Br. Kamal Abdul-Jabbaar.

We are requesting financial assistance for our beloved Brother Imam Ron El-Amin of Islamic
Development Center of Moreno Valley, CA. Imam El-Amin is currently battling stage 4
metastatic prostate cancer and is now in need of our help.

His medical insurance covers most of his conventional treatments, test, etc. but does not cover alternative medicines and treatments. However, over the past few months, Imam El-Amin has sought out and has been taking Ozone treatments that has proven to be very effective in helping arrest his ailments. But because of the exorbitant cost, he has been unable to continue the treatments out of pocket.

The cost of the treatment is $600 per session to be administered once a week for 6 months.
Insha’Allah these treatments will give him a better chance to survive.

WE NEED YOUR HELP!!!

For those of you who know him, know that he would not be making this request for himself.

Our goal is to raise $18,000 for the treatment and also transportation and lodging while he
undergoes treatment.

Imam El-Amin is well known for his faithful and tireless commitment to the world and local
communities. His work has touched the lives of so many people; so we ask and we pray that
you find It in your hearts to contribute generously to this worthy cause no matter how big or
small..

Thankyou,
May Allah SWT reward you immensely for your sacrifice and all the good that you do. https://www.gofundme.com/f/aid-for-our-dear-brother-imam-ron-elamin
