The CSULB College of the Arts, with well over 3,000 majors, is California's largest and most comprehensive publicly funded school for the arts.
The College of the Arts at California State University Long Beach is made up of six academic units - the School of ART, the BOB COLE CONSERVATORY OF MUSIC, and the departments of DANCE, DESIGN, FILM, and THEATRE ARTS. The college also oversees the operation of the Richard and Karen Carpenter Center and the Carolyn Campagna Kleefeld Contemporary Art Museum, both situated on the campus of CSULB.

The official time for the show is from 5-7pm. However, the video work in the 360 theatre (I-Space, library lower level) will play from 3:15pm to 7pm, if you are not available after 5.
Installation pieces need extra time, but you will still see them in action setting things up : )

About Wanda D'Parke
Multi-award-winning Drag Cabaret Legend “wanda dparke” has been performing since the early 1990’s, debuting at Sydney’s Legendary Albury Hotel on Oxford Street. Based in Brisbane with an extensive career to date (starting in Brisbane at the iconic Sportsman Hotel), Wanda has performed as far north as Cairns, as far South as Sydney, as far East as Auckland, as far West as Roma, and pretty much everywhere else in between.
wanda dparke is a highly versatile and beloved LIVE Drag Cabaret Entertainer in Australia, known for her numerous solo and full-cast production shows, guest hosting, and performances at notable events and venues. Her career spans a wide range of community events, including Big Gay Day, Pride Fair Day, and Gemfest, along with significant involvement in charity work for organizations like the Queensland Aids Council and Breast Cancer Charities. Wanda gained recognition as one of the breakout stars of the documentary "Bowled Over" and debuted her autobiographical one-woman Cabaret show, "The Girl From Biloela." She has received accolades, including Entertainer Of The Year and Most Popular Drag Entertainer, and is an inaugural inductee into the Queensland Drag Hall Of Fame. Wanda's enduring passion for entertaining ensures there is much more to come in her illustrious career.

Join The Kleefeld Contemporary and Cal State Long Beach College of the Arts on Thursday November 9th 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM in the University Theater for “Bowled Over: A Dragumentary” Screening and Talk Back with drag queen Wanda D’Parke. This documentary directed by Mandy Lake tells the story of how drag saved a Lawn Bowling Club from closing. It celebrates the vibrant world of drag queens as they bowl over stereotypes, showcasing their unique artistry, resilience, and the power of self-expression. Don’t forget to check out the exhibition Drag Race, on view at Kleefeld Contemporary (our ON CAMPUS art museum) through Dec. 15!
