Today, I had an opportunity to speak with Tony Thurmond, State Superintendent of Public Instruction, about all the incredible work transpiring in the Santa Ana Unified School District and CHLS at Cal State Long Beach. Mr. Thurmond is a great ally!

STANDING ROOM ONLY at the CSULB Ethnic Studies Initiative (ESI) end-of-semester conference, where over 250+ high school students taking Ethnic Studies 119 (a college-credit, general education course) presented their projects. So inspiring to hear their voices and to colaborate with my Ethnic Studies colleagues, administration, and school districts. Honoring our past, creating a more inclusive future.
