The professional development cohort will focus on networking, goal setting and professional skills. Thought the quarter we will engage in workshops meant to develop your academic skills and learn techniques needed in professional settings to land your dream goal.

During the Exploring Identities Cohort, we will examine and reflect on our positionalities, a ā€œconcept that acknowledges that we are all raced, classed, and gendered, and that these identities are relational, complex, and fluid positions, rather than essential qualities (Martin & Gunten, 2002, p. 46). Our positionalities involve issues of privilege, marginalization, and power.

While folks are not required to sign up for every quarter, this cohort is designed to build on from previous cohorts.

This cohort focuses on self-love and self-care and learning how to apply it in your life. Itā€™s important not to neglect your mental health as we find a way to balance everything in our college journey. We will be participating in many groups and individual activities, including crafts, journaling, etc. to promote positivity and healing.

The end of Spring Quarter is coming up and itā€™s about that time again where your assignments are piling on. With this in mind, USPARC has set up a Study Night for this Thursday at USP (Sac B52) for you all to have a space to work. We will be at this space from 7-9 PM and we will also give out goody bags to all our attendees. We look forward to studying with you!

Happy Week 8!

This week USPARC and IDEAS have planned an Undocumented Networking Event for you all! We will be hosting a space this Thursday the 19th from 4-5 PM! Join us on the hill at Sunset Rec to meet other undocumented students and socialize! We will be providing food at this event but it is on a first come first served basis. Please try to arrive early so that you are guaranteed a meal!

As a reward for getting through (or still going through) midterms, we have planned a fun social to help you release stress, socialize, and unleash your creativity!

This Thursday from 6-7 PM we will be set up inside USP with painting tools, and collage tools. Feel free to choose either or both! We will also provide food to those who come so that you donā€™t miss out on a meal

Happy Week 10 everybody!

With Finals right around the corner we have set aside a study night for you all this Wednesday from 6-8 pm! This time we will be located on the hill, between centennial and olympic iā€™m a study space called The Branch! If you need help getting here please dm us on Wednesday!

We will be giving out goody bags at our study space as well! We hope we get to study with you all this Wednesday and we wish you luck iā€™m finishing up the quarter!

here to let you know that USPARC is going to hold a resume workshop this Friday from 4-5 PM!

We encourage you to have your resumes ready, or if you havenā€™t made one, then to show up and learn how to make your first draft! If you want to have detailed notes and feedback, then feel free to email us your resume before the workshop! Our Graduate Student Mentor will be leading this workshop, so make sure to have questions prepared as well.

This event will be virtual only. You can find the link in our bio and on the flyer. We will also be holding a raffle for one lucky winner!

If you didnā€™t get a chance to apply to our cohorts but would still like to talk to an undocumented student mentor, donā€™t worry! USPARC will now be offering office hours every week at three different times.

Use this opportunity to ask for school related help, meet our mentors, or talk about unique undocumented experiences that only another undocumented student would understand! We are always here to help and guide you through your college career.

You can access each mentorā€™s office hours through the link in our bio, or their their respective links on the flyer! No appointments are necessary. Simply click the link during the day and time that the mentor is available.
