Company Auditions are going to be a little different this year… 💃🏻

You will not have ONE but TWO auditions taking place at the studio:

The first one will be the "Company Technique Audition" on Sunday May 22nd 2022 💛
*10:00-11:00 = Ages 8 & under
*11:00-12:00 = Ages 9-11
*12:00-1:00 = Ages 12 & up
➡️ your dance teachers will assess your technique in ballet and jazz and determine which classes you should take to get better over the summer months!

The second one will be the "Company Placement Audition" on Sunday August 7th 2022 🧡
*10:00-11:00 = Ages 8 & under
*11:00-12:00 = Ages 9-11
*12:00-1:00 = Ages 12 & up
➡️ your dance teachers will see how much progress you have made over the summer and finally decide in which of our Company teams you should be placed in!

Jazz is always a good idea! 💃🏻

Jazz is a form of dance that combines both African and European dance styles. this high-energy dance has a liveliness that sets it apart from traditional dance forms, such as ballet. Like Jazz music, jazz dance features improvisation. One of the most distinct characteristics of jazz dance is the use of "isolation", a jazz technique in which the dancer isolate one part of the body.

If that sounds like something you or someone you know would like, there is still time to sign your dancer up today! Our available classes are:

Hip hop is an exciting and ever-evolving dance form that combines a variety of freestyle movements to create a cultural piece of art. With more upbeat music, it creates a different level of fun and creativity for our students.

Mommy and Me fun today in Miss Ashley’s class 👶🏼💗

This 45 minutes class is an introduction to the world of movement for our tiniest dancers building coordination and motor skills that will benefit then for a lifetime. We encourage creativity, rhythm, balance and listening skills in a fun environment. This class is DROP IN, allowing ultimate flexibility to accommodate your child’s needs. This Fall/Winter session, Mommy and Me classes are offered 3 times/week:
* Tuesday 11:30-12:15
* Friday 11:30-12:15
* Saturday 9:45-10:30

This week we want to shed some light on our Mommy and Me class 👶🏼👧🏻

Our Ballet IV/V girls working hard on their technique and ballet artistry during this first week of ballet intensives 🩰 We can’t wait to see them perform tomorrow on their last day 💃🏻 🌟

If you would also like to learn all things ballet with Miss Sydney this summer, our second week of intensives will run from 11-2pm July 26-30th and is catered for our ballerinas in Ballet II and III

🤔 But what exactly will you be doing? In those intensives, you will learn:
* audition technique and etiquette
* history of ballet
* variations from your favorite ballets (swan lake, the nutcracker, sleeping beauty...)
* how to become stage ready (hair and make-up tips)
* how to take care of your pointe shoes

Dear Dance for Kids Families,

We have been overjoyed with the feedback we have received during our spring shows. Seeing our dancers perform in person and share the joy of dance with their families has given us all a BIG reason to smile.

Demand for fall classes has been unprecedented, so we are excited to announce our FALL SCHEDULE is now available. We are happy to be in person, and in the classroom!
