Please have your dog microchipped and REGIStER it. If your dog gets out with no ID of any kind - how do you think the finder can get him home???? A rabies tag can at least be tracked to you!!! Please be responsible !!!!

My name is ESQUIRE; I am a pure bred Pembrooke Welsh Corgi! I was found wandering in a local park with NO id of any kind- no way to get me back home. I love to be brushed, play with toys and I am good on walks. Don't be deceived by the short little legs...there is lots of energy and strength there. I am totally house trained. I love to be next to you or better yet in YOUR lap. DOB Given 6/12/18. Come meet me at the Morris Safe House. I am totally vetted, neutered, now have a life time fee paid ID chip that is registered, current on all vaccines, and get Simperica Trio monthly to protect me from fleas/ticks/ heartworms.

This is RIVER - Golden Retriever/ Shepherd mix. DOB 5/10/23 He is ready for a home now - Current on all vaccines, Neutered, Chipped( life time fee paid) and excellent on walks. He know commands and LOVES to give kisses. He delights in playing in the water and loves toys. Come meet this super boy...

Penny is indeed a Lucky PENNY... She came to us in early May of this year - A sweet active little lady who a week later developed a bad infection in her neck probably from and injury that healed over then became a real issue. Two surgeries and lots of TLC and medicine and warm packs today she is healed and healthy. She also had her left back leg injured probably at the same time her neck was injured. We give Rimadyl daily to help her.
She is just one of many that we have spent $lots to get well and healthy. Penny is now ready for a home where she will be safe and loved. Her given DOB is 5/9/23. She LOVES toys and delights in playing with you with them.

July 24th will be my 83rd Birthday!!!! I still work every day at the Safe House 75-90 hours a week. WHY? Because these little Morris Mutts are so important!!!! They come to us with broken bodies and wounded spirits and leave through adoption healed, vetted, and ready to trust again. Each new intake is tested for several diseases at Animal Medical Center prior to entering the Safe House ( we keep diseases out and keep the facility safe for everyone).Each new intake is started on preventatives upon entry. Each is spayed and neutered and a life time fee paid ID chip is implanted while they are sedated for their personal surgery. The chip is then registered to the Safe House and transferred to the new owner upon adoption and going home. We spend on average $400 to $850 on each new intake and adopt for $215- We are VERY NON PROFIT.

We love our NCL moms and daughters. They just come and love our Mutts and help us get them out and with this hot weather, our Morris Mutts are only out in the mornings cause it’s too hot in the afternoon.

Time to make “pup-sickles” fill muffin tin with water add bites of your dog’s food and freeze! The Morris Mutts love these

Praline a girl and her ball and/or stick. Just having lots of fun and the cool breeze this morning.

I am outside this morning with one of our newest little dogs. Her name is Praline. She’s about five months old and just live wire. She has had the zoomed all day playing and I just made a picture of her which is attached. She is precious.

Oursweet little Penny now has a couple of staples in her neck where this abscess ruptured that all happened Sunday and I was up here with the entire day keeping warm compresses on it and doing what Dr. Polk told me to do. I took her in yesterday morning, and he cleaned it shaved around it and stapled it I just have to keep warm compresses on it and keep it clean and use Neosporin for the next 10 days. We needed something to cover that so that it wouldn’t become more irritated so she is very fashionable in a neck cover that I fashioned out of a pair of my socks and she loves it because it’s keeping that close but not tight on her neck and she still loves to lay in my lap and take a nap. Bless her heart. She feels good when that’s happening.Perhaps she will make a fashion statement👏👏👏👏👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👏👏

Thank you for each and every one of your comments and encouragements. It’s so scary when something happens to one of our little Mutts but we don’t take any chances. We go the ultimate to get them what they need and get them.Penny is doing well. She is still pretty swollen, but the medicine is helping and we are doing warm compresses every hour and that helps a lot. She just is so precious and so sweet.
