On this National Day of Remembrance, let us not forget the lives lost and the bravery shown on that day. As we reflect on the impact, let’s come together in a moment of silence to honor the victims, first responders, and their families. 🕊️🇺🇸
🎶Rave on, it’s a crazy feeling! 🎸Roscoe Wilson ES and Honey ES learned about local hero and musical artist Buddy Holly on the eve of his birthday. Students celebrated Holly’s birthday by listening to some of his top songs, dressing up in ‘50s theme outfits, taking a blast to the past with some old school cars, and cooling off with some ice cream to finish the day. What a way to celebrate a local hero!
Students at Mackenzie Middle School participated in mock interviews today to better prepare them for the future! This is one of many ways how Lubbock ISD is preparing future generations.
Checkout this creative approach to learning! Third-grade students at Overton ES concluded their RLA unit of classic tales where students learned the difference between American and British English. The stories covered tea parties and the class was able to enjoy biscuits and tea in their classroom!
