RACING WEEKEND (Potluck Saturday, Lodge Picnic Sunday) -- AUGUST 3rd and 4th!
Our picnic was originally planned for this coming Saturday 7/20, but your Exalted Ruler thought it would be better to plan it around Seafair, giving our members the opportunity to gather for our picnic at your new Lodge and watch the races at the same time. So, August 3rd (stock car races & potluck) and 4th (Seafair hydroplane races & Lodge Picnic) will be RACING WEEKEND! Here is how it will happen:
8/3/2024 Stock Car Race Watching & Potluck: Mission Valley Super Oval -- The "Super Late Models" and "Legends" races will be on Saturday August 3rd: Show up with your favorite dish at 4:30pm, the qualifying is at 5pm PST, and the Super Oval Races start at 6pm PST. The #5 car is the one that WSEA sponsors, and is driven by 16 year-old Madex Moran. Our Member and Helen's son, Chris Winnem, will be racing with the "Legends."
8/4/2024 Seafair Watch and Lodge Picnic: Our Lodge picnic scheduled for this month has been postponed to Sunday, August 4th from 11am-6pm, so we can include watching the hydroplane races during Seafair while having our Lodge picnic (Hot Dogs & Burgers provided, Members please bring sides & desserts).
