First Parade for the new 2024 Ambassadors! It was a very hot day but we made the most of it.

Congratulations Alexis, Chloe and Aspen on your wonderful year of service to Maple Grove! We can't wait to see what your future holds. It was an honor to watch you three this past year!

Just a few weeks until Aquatennial and when our own Alexis heads downtown for the AAO Candidate week, representing Maple Grove and MGAP! We’re so excited for you, Alexis, and the wonderful experience you will have! 🩵

Alexis Faller - Maple Grove

Alexis Faller is from the community of Maple Grove. She will be a junior at North Dakota State University this fall, where she is studying Biological Sciences with a minor in Chemistry. After the completion of her undergraduate degree, she plans to continue on to post-graduate education in medicine. During the summer, Alexis loves working as a Program Assistant at Wayzata Kids, which is the childcare center for families in the Wayzata school district. She loves going on field trips with the kids, creating art projects, and being able to watch friendships grow throughout the summer. Alexis also enjoys downhill skiing, riding horses, baking, and spending time in nature. One of her favorite volunteering experiences has been cooking for kids at the Minneapolis Crisis Nursery. Alexis is looking forward to all of the wonderful new opportunities and experiences that being a part of AAO has to offer, as well as making memories and meeting new friends.

We gave an update on all the activities the ambassadors have been up to during their year so far, what we have coming up and their experiences along the way!

Another volunteer opportunity spearheaded by director Rebecca who has volunteered at Arc for more than 15 years. Arc supports and provides services for local individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. We tagged, organized, sorted and did a little shopping, too.
