Our NMUN•NY volunteers are hard at work preparing for the 2025 conference. They, with input from the NMUN Advisory Group, have selected the topics we will be addressing at the conference. At NMUN•NY 2024 and NMUN • Germany 2023 we were privileged to hear from Maud Dahme, a survivor of the Holocaust. At NMUN•NY we held a delegate briefing on Career Opportunities at the UN. As a follow up, we'd like to share two amazing opportunities.
One is the UN Careers Livestream for University Students and Recent Graduates. It's the fourth event in a series of online webinars for university students, recent graduates and alumni from un- and under-represented Member States under the system of desirable ranges of the UN Secretariat. The virtual event will take place live on the UN Careers YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xt4--dJE3EA) and Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/UN.Careers) channels on Thursday, 25 April 2024, from 8:00-9:00 AM Eastern Time (ET).
The other is about the UNA-USA fellowship that provides financial support for undergraduates from the United States who have received their bachelor’s degree within one year of graduation, and first year master’s students who have secured unpaid internships with the United Nations. If selected, you can be awarded up to $13,000 for up to four months. More details at: https://unausa.org/programs/fellowship/.

You should also be collecting names for your name badges. We need them as they appear on your photo IDs as well as any informal names people in your delegation wish to use.

Have you always dreamt of serving as a chair at NMUN•NY? Well, if you are registered as a delegate or head delegate and have the permission of your faculty advisor, now's your chance.
