Join us for an action-packed 4th of July celebration! Start your day with an exhilarating morning paddle around the lake and end it with an electrifying evening flotilla where boaters compete for the coveted CILHA trophy and the chance to select the following year's winners!

Hey Neighbors,

Just a friendly reminder as we enjoy the beautiful summer days and our time on the lake: I wanted to call attention to our lake levels being higher than usual right now. As a courtesy when boating near the shore, please keep our speeds down to help prevent shoreline erosion and protect our docks and lake equipment.

Feel free to go full throttle and have a blast in the middle of the lake, but let’s be mindful and near the edges. Together, we can keep our lake beautiful and safe for everyone!

Just a reminder for anyone interested in treating your shoreline. Midwest Aqua Care applications are due by March 15th, please email me at [email protected] if you need a form (I will also post it in the files portion of this page).

There is concern that the weeds will be bad this year due to the short winter and lack of ice/snow. We are hoping to combat this with higher shoreline treatment participation. Here is a news article on the issue:

Our weird winter could cause trouble in lakes this year University of Minnesota researcher Michael Verhoeven says that there's roughly 750 lakes in Minnesota that are known spots for curly-leaf pondweed.

Hello Neighbors - this is the family of Max Haynes, who started this page years ago and who passed on in 2022. It's been lovely being stewards of this page but we are passing it on to someone else now. He loved this lake and it was his earthly home, and relished spending his time here and sharing photos and updates with you all. Thank you.

The 2023 CILHA Pig Roast is set for October 15th!

Hello all - well, I did a silly thing and now I own an old pontoon. The previous owner delivered it and put it in the lake. Awesome, right? Hm. Not so much. No trailer.
I am looking for advice on where/how to buy a trailer and hire someone to take it out and store it. I am in a big time learning mode with Max gone and I appreciate any advice you might have.
I do have a vehicle that can tow it.

It's that time of the year to get out, be active, hang out with friends, family & your neighbors!

Sara Mumma has provided the details of this year's 4th of July parade and paddle - see below:

Paddle Details: 7/4 @9:00 a.m. -
Paddle over to the boat launch and we'll paddle clockwise around the main part of the lake together. Decorate your paddle boards, boats, kayaks, etc.!

Boat Parade Details: 7/4 @3:00 p.m. -
Decorate your boat and line up by the boat launch. We will boat clockwise around the entire lake. The Klimek family won the trophy last year and they will lead the parade and pass the trophy on to the best decorated boat.
