What is UrgentVet? Think of us like urgent care for pets. 🐾
In human healthcare, you see your regular doctor for wellness visits and planned procedures, and you go to the ER when it’s life-threatening. For everything in between, you visit urgent care.
The same applies to veterinary care! Pets visit their regular vet for checkups and vaccinations, and the emergency vet for serious, life-threatening issues. We’re here for everything in between—like cuts, bites, itching, diarrhea, vomiting, limping, scooting, and more.
Save your spot online or just walk in. We’re open weekdays 3 PM to 11 PM and weekends 10 AM to 8 PM.
At UrgentVet, we believe in keeping your pets happy and stress-free. That's why we go the extra mile to ensure your furry friends feel calm, comfortable, and cared for during every visit. 🐱

Did you know certain flowers are toxic to cats? 💐
While they may look beautiful and smell wonderful, some flowers can be dangerous to our feline friends. If you love having flowers at home or your cat explores the garden, be sure to choose “cat-safe” options like Roses, Sunflowers, Zinnias, and Marigolds. 🌸
Pets sometimes munch on things they shouldn’t—like whole rib bones. This sweet dog, Kumo, gulped down what he thought was the ultimate treat before his pet parents could intervene. With the heat still in full swing, remember that our furry friends feel it too! Walking your dog in hot weather can lead to heatstroke and other injuries. Here's why: Concrete and asphalt retain heat, making it much hotter for your pet, and these surfaces can burn their paw pads. When it’s above 80-85 degrees, it’s best to walk your dog in the early morning or at dusk. If that’s not possible, keep walks short and stay on the grass. Always provide plenty of water and watch for signs of heatstroke, such as excessive panting, drooling, lethargy, and confusion. If you notice any of these, bring your pet to us right away.
Pet Tip Friday!
Washing your pet's toys, blankets, and bedding removes germs, dirt, pollen, burrs, small hitchhiking bugs, and other irritants. Some furry friends suffer from seasonal allergies, so it's important to wash their bedding regularly. This is also a great time to clean their food and water dishes and tidy up the area where they eat and sleep.
From minor injuries to sudden illnesses, UrgentVet has you covered. Open outside normal hours and on holidays! 🐾🩺

Traveling with your pet? Set you and your furry friend up for a successful trip by carefully packing their essentials. Bring food, a bowl, a collar and leash, a waste scoop, plastic bags, grooming supplies, medication and first-aid, and any travel documents. Pack a favorite toy or pillow to give your pet a sense of familiarity. Be sure to pack plenty of water, and avoid feeding your pet in a moving vehicle.
Your pet's travel-feeding schedule should start with a light meal three to four hours prior to departure, and always opt for bottled water. Drinking water from an area he or she isn’t used to could result in stomach discomfort.
Finally, research veterinary care options along the way and at your final destination just in case you need them. has 83 locations nationwide to help with local and visiting pets in need of same-day care!

🐶🐾 Zoe here (adorable dog) guest-posting for UrgentVet.
I had a little adventure recently—I escaped from the house for a few minutes! It was super exciting, but I ended up with a small wound on my side. Boo! My pet parent took me straight to UrgentVet to get fixed up. The team there took great care of me. They were so nice, I hardly even noticed I was at the “scary vet’s office” (lol). They treated my owie, and now I’m on antibiotics to help me heal. 🩹💊 Thanks, UrgentVet! Can’t wait for more adventures (safe ones!).

Cats love to scratch—it’s in their DNA! Whether they’re playing, stretching, or marking their territory, scratching is essential for feline happiness. To keep those claws content, offer a variety of scratching surfaces and see which one becomes their favorite. Vertical, angled, or horizontal—let your cat be the judge! Popular materials like cardboard, carpet, wood, and rope are all great choices. And remember, a well-worn scratching post isn’t a sign of wear and tear, but of love and loyalty. It’s their go-to spot, so think twice before tossing it out!
At UrgentVet, we’re as passionate about your cat’s happiness as you are. If you ever have concerns, we’re just a call (or a scratch) away. 🐾

• Avoid hot surfaces such as asphalt, concrete, wood, and sand. Walk on grass or use booties to protect their feet.
• Plan routes that have shaded areas where your dog can rest if needed.
