Thank you to Taylor County employees for all the work you do for our community, your hard work does not go unnoticed.

Here are some reasons we love being county employees~~

I like working for Taylor County because we get to serve the entire county population; no day is the same and I get to give back to my community!

I would say that what I like about working at the county is the variety of work I get to do, the retirement benefits and the PTO benefits.

I never imagined when my journey started 41 years ago, that I’d still be here! Over the years my job has remained interesting with the variety of all the different office functions we offer. My job is never boring, and I’ve enjoyed the camaraderie with other county employees, board members and the numerous people I have met and worked with over the years. I have had great office co-workers. I take pride in what I’ve learned, what I have accomplished and the assistance I can offer to our public.

For nearly 23 years I’ve SERVED the counties I’ve lived in through public health. For me, it is about seeing positive changes for all residents. Never a dull day!

I enjoy working for Taylor County because of the colleagues I work with. I also enjoy meeting the public and hearing different perspectives in the courtroom.

It’s given me a chance to get involved with our community.

I love working for the County! I get to work with a great group of people every day, helping our residents and everyone that comes to the Courthouse in a variety of ways. Sometimes it’s simply pointing them in the right direction to another office in the Courthouse, while others come in to apply for a marriage license or get a DNR license from the Clerk’s office. It is definitely a very rewarding experience for me to serve the people of Taylor County.

I haven’t been here long yet, but so far, I enjoy the work that I am doing/learning and the people I work with. It is a good atmosphere to work in. They are flexible when you have appointments. Overall, All the employees here are super nice and helpful.

I like working for Taylor County for the opportunity to serve the individuals that live in Taylor County and those who served our Nation. This career also has given me the chance to continue to serve my County without putting on a uniform every day.

I like working for the county because of the positive and warm environment at the courthouse. Everyone seems to be very kind and friendly. I also like how the county is always engaging with the employees by hosting lunches, fundraisers, jeans day, and other fun gatherings.

There are many reasons why I like working for Taylor County. I enjoy being able to apply my knowledge and abilities into a career that will make an impact on hundreds to thousands of people. Not only limited to working with just coworkers but being able to work with the public and have that opportunity to make a positive impact for all. It’s great to have feedback from not only the public, but from the County Board with the decisions that are being made so it’s not just one person’s idea or decision at the end of the day. The challenge of budgeting keeps me actively thinking and prioritizing everyday workload, so the best decision is made for the greater good of the county. There is a good portion of diversity with the job keeping it interesting from day to day. Being able to see a positive impact on the people and communities we serve is rewarding.
