The Taylor County Sheriff’s Office is in the process of purchasing a new k-9 . We hope to have Deputy Brett Paul and his new k-9 partner on patrol together later this fall.
SSMC is a local motorcycle club who reached out asking to help bring in some much needed funds to support our k-9 program . They decided a brat fry would be a great way to donate to our program.
Thank you for your support!

We have received reports of an individual calling and identifying himself as a law enforcement officer with Taylor County Sheriff’s Office.

This individual will inform you that there is a warrant out for your arrest and then proceed to tell you to go to Walgreens / Walmart or some other store to get money to send in to pay or youll be arrested.

Please never believe this! They mix it up but variants of this type of scam have been around a long time.

No law enforcement agency will ever call you and tell you to send money like that. If a law enforcement agency does call they will be very informative and give you real life physical addresses that you can verify.

When in doubt if you receive a call like this get a return phone number and say you’ll call back. If it’s a scammer they won’t likely want to give you a number.

Also at anytime call your local law enforcement agency. They’ll tell you if you’re actually in any trouble. Don’t rely on a random unknown caller you can’t identify .
Contact the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office with any questions or concerns.
