June’s Journey Memphis

A non profit organization created to help families remember their babies gone too soon. For more info

Hello friends! Although things have been a bit quiet in here we are still working behind the scenes. This week I’ve had two separate families reach out for assistance to provide their precious baby girls with a headstone. We will be hopefully be able to provide partial assistance to each with the funds we currently have, however this will barely touch the amount needed. I’m working on getting some fundraisers together soon so be on the lookout for more info. October is infant and pregnancy loss awareness month so please remember all of the families coping with such a loss. 👼🏻

3 whole years…happy birthday to my girl. We had our annual picnic with you, before singing and leaving your cupcake. It tried to rain on us again, that makes 3 years in row we had to fight the rain for time with you ☔️

Two whole years.... 2 years of wondering how different the world would be if you were here. 2 years of working to ensure no baby is forgotten. 2 years feels like just yesterday, and a lifetime ago all at the same time. I still have to catch my breath when I tell your story. Happy birthday my little love, I hope you’re dancing with the angels on your special day 👼🏻 🎂 💗

We recently placed an order with Mommies of an Angel so we could get this 5lb 6oz baby boy home to his family for Christmas. We know that it is no where near a substitute for their son but we sure hope it brings them some comfort.

When you make a donation to our organization you are helping families heal...by whatever means possible 👼🏻

*a special thank you to the creator of his onesie*

Dear Lord we come to you tonight in prayer Lord asking you to comfort this family in their time of loss.... Lord we ask that you comfort this family as only you can. Lord we ask that you wrap your arms around them as they prepare to say hello and goodbye to this precious baby. So very loved and wanted. A precious life, that never saw the pain and suffering of this world Lord. May you cover them in the strength and comfort that only you can provide. We may not ever understand why, but we know in you we find peace that passes all understanding. Tonight we just ask for peace and comfort for this family during this difficult time.
AMEN AMEN AMEN

Everyday ❤️

Today is the day of hope

“August 19th is about coming together as a whole community to openly speak about these children and celebrating their short lives. Each year thousands of people around the globe take part in The Day Of Hope by hanging up prayer flags in honour of their babies and children that have died.”

Every.single.day.... I think of her... she should be learning to walk and talk. I can see her in the floor playing with what could have been her siblings. I would have happily brought her home to a lifetime full of love and laughter. She was made for me, she lives in my mind and heart. June... that word alone brings a vision of sunshine and spring flowers in fresh bloom. June... MY June... my sweet baby June. You changed my world, and inspired me to change how the world remembers others like you ❤️

“You don’t know my entire story. Maybe I physically can’t have another baby. Maybe I’ve chosen not to have another baby. Maybe I have chosen to pursue adoption. Maybe I’m not ready to have another baby. Maybe instead of offering up YOUR hope, you could really take the time to learn my story and get to know me.”

It’s her birthday!!!!!! We went to the cemetery with balloons and new flowers to celebrate. I took my bag of keepsakes with me so I could reminisce about our journey together (see pictures). The kids walked around to make sure each baby had flowers, and cleaned off the other headstones. Then we had a happy meal picnic, complete with an apple pie and candle so we could sing to her. As we finished singing happy birthday the wind blew out her candle ❤️ 🎂 👼🏻

Tomorrow July 1st marks one year. 365 days I’ve spent remembering a life that never lived. I should be decorating for a party with pink bows, tulle, and a fancy cake made just for her to dig into. But instead of showering her with gifts, I’m planning an afternoon at the cemetery. The only gift I bought was for myself....this bunny was custom made for me by another mother who lost her little boy. Its name is “Sweet June” and it is precisely 16 inches long and weighs 2.54lbs just like my REAL baby did! Mommies of an Angel did a fantastic job helping me to remember what it felt like to hold her. ❤️👼🏻🦋

Sharing one of the special trinkets I have to remember my girl. This tiny little angel is also a bell. It also happens to be roughly the same size as her footprint which is the same size as my pinky finger. It usually sits front and center in my china cabinet but sometimes I just hold it in my hand while I remember her sweet face. It’s almost time to celebrate her birthday 🎁
