Dear Publicist or Business Manager,

We’re writing to you today because we understand that you, as a publicist or business manager is the ultimate gate keeper understands the struggle before SUCCESS. We have high hopes that you care deeply about the lower poverty communities. (As do we!) We are a newer nonprofit organization called 2nd Chance At Living Inc. Our mission is to act with urgency to raise public awareness and meet the needs of our most vulnerable populations by providing Community services, resources, and guidance to those who need it most. As of June 2023, there are close to thousands of people without a place to call home in the United States, and our goal is to change that.

Our Founder, Ms. Rodnesha Smith, relocated to Memphis, TN from New Orleans, LA during Hurricane Katrina in 2005 at the age of 14. She was determined to positively and powerfully impact lives, so she founded 2nd Chance At Living Inc in 2020. She started 2nd Chance At Living Inc in high hopes that she would change the trajectory of struggle by helping men, women, and families by providing all of the the essentials such as Housing, Resources, Employment, Education, etc in Memphis as well as expanding nationwide to share NEW BEGINNINGS and LIMITLESS JOURNEYS.

This organization has been in the community since 2020, delivering food, water, blankets, hygiene products, clothing, shoes, etc. By the end of 2024, it is our goal to also open three housing facilities (one for men, one for women, & one for families). These facilities will be available to those who qualify for up to one year and will include access to housing, food, hygiene products, housing, resources, employment, education, etc, so that they’ll have full access to the TRUE MEANING OF SUPPORT that will benefit their independent stability in the near FUTURE.

We will also provide all essentials that they need and assistance in getting them into homes of their own once they’re ready and able. As you can imagine, it is an ambitious undertaking to expand our services so drastically, but it’s something that we here at 2nd Chance at Living Inc are supremely passionate about. We’d love to strengthen our communities and the people in it, so we eagerly and humbly strive to do as much as we can to care for others by the way we believe we were meant to. We would love for you to join us on this journey in any way that you can.

Our upcoming goal is to go out in the community and provide individuals who are lost and forgotten with blankets. 2nd Chance At Living Inc is kindly ask for monetary donations or blankets, in support of of our annual blanket drive community event on 12/2/2023 from 12:00pm - 4:00pm. Your support will help the growth of 2nd Chance At Living Inc, so that we can continue our mission to make a difference in our communities.

This weekend, my 3 youngest children(my step-son included) and I road around different areas of Memphis and gave out funds for homeless individuals to buy themselves a meal and something to drink! The fact that my kids enjoyed doing this made my weekend and brightened my heart! The homeless individuals interacted with my kids and smiled just by us giving what we could. This serves as the sole purpose of why I enjoy being the CEO and having kids who don't mind giving back to those in need! I love what I do, but most importantly I am a proud mother to kids that love giving back.

2nd Chance At Living 's next event is coming soon! We are waiting on the inclement weather to subside and we will show our presence in Memphis Community again. Please be on the lookout for the announcement and event schedule.

The true meaning of a 2nd Chance is giving those who are lost and forgotten another chance to get on their feet with resources provided, so that they can have the hope and opportunity to provide for their families and get themselves together! There is no such thing as I can't or won't because we CAN do it and WILL do it! I did it as a single mother of 3! I believe in anyone and will do everything to help those who believe in themselves! TOGETHER WE ARE STRONG and we will give the world a new meaning of hope and love.

2nd Chance At Living presents our Fresh Meal Event! We enjoyed our continued journey of giving back. We met new faces and were able to put smiles on their faces.

One of my biggest callings is helping people in need by starting 2nd Chance At Living and building a powerful team that will be passionate about changing lives as well. I enjoy getting out in the community and seeing the smiles of people's faces, who are lost and forgotten. The goal is to pave a path that will give them new beginnings(HAPPY ONES).We will definitely be taking pictures and out in the community on Sunday. See you all soon!😊😊
