TEEN DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AWARENESS MONTH
One in three teenagers – nearly 1.5 Million – in a romantic relationship admits to being in an unhealthy relationship. While both boys and girls can be victims of teen dating violence, girls are far more likely to suffer. Nearly 25% of teenage girls are estimated to have been in an abusive relationship. In fact, girls between 16 and 24 are three times as likely than any other demographic to be abused by a boyfriend or other intimate partner.

Beauty Beyond the Scars presents the 4th Annual "I Survived It" Walk-a-thon Car & Bike Expo 2023 to bring awareness against Domestic Violence. Our goal is to have 100 plus participants to walk with us in unity against Domestic Violence. We will be remembering and honoring our "fallen angels" who lost their lives to Domestic Violence and celebrating those who survived.

We have included a Car and Bike Expo where you will be able to take a look at some of the hottest cars and bikes in our city.. We will meet in the lot of the Raleigh Civic Center and walk a 5K around the walking trail in unity bringing awareness to Domestic Violence.

If you are not able to walk the 5K we still want you to register and come out and join us. There will be seating and activities for you to enjoy.

We will have Awe-mazing vendors, delicious food trucks, live music, games for the kids, information about Domestic Violence, and so much more. This will be fun for the entire family. Load up the cars, vans, and buses and come on out.

This will be a day of honoring, remembering, and celebrating. We want to see you there.

Attire: We ask that you purple it out... Wear purple (clothes, hair, shoes, etc.)

"Live Another Day".
This event will provide real life scenarios to help our Black boys and Men between the ages of 11-26 to Live Another Day. We will touch on Gun and Gang Violence, De-escalation, and provide a message that there is hope and a prosperous future for each of them if they remain on the right path no matter what their environment or upbringing.

Our Guest Speaker will be TJ Johnson- President/CEO of WAKE UP YOUTH FOUNDATION. His powerful lifechanging testimony from the prision to the palace will be sure to inspire those in attendance.

Black Male Advancement "Live Another Day" | BBTS Black Male Advancement (BMA) Program "Live Another Day" will be providing educational mentorship for young black boys and men to help guide them to a successful life.

We really could use your assistance..Our non-profit organization Beauty Beyond the Scars is working on our Annual Transformation Christmas Adopt a Family..Well this year we have been blessed with 2 families to adopt that both were homeless and dealing with much loss. One in particular is a veteran who loss his wife and son to a drunk driver- We have been able to help him with housing and a job and items for his house- He literally has no family and friends here and we were able to locate his brother who he has not seen in a long while- We are now working to surprise him by getting his brother here for Christmas Eve(the day we are presenting his gifts) this is where we really need your help.We are asking that you will feel it in your heart to donate only $5 to help us make this possible..
We want to help make his Christmas alot merrier by surprising him with items, furniture and food for his home, and now family- Can we count on you for $5?
