We've been cooking up a storm at JUCA, and last week dish was a true masterpiece: Mango Shrimp Curry salad in a crispy wonton cup! 🍤🥭🥗

Our talented students never cease to amaze me with their creativity and culinary skills. From slicing and dicing to mixing and seasoning, they put their hearts and souls into every dish they create.

If you're craving a burst of flavor and a delightful texture combination, this dish is a must-try! Sweet mangoes, succulent shrimp, aromatic curry, all nestled in a crunchy wonton cup... It's a flavor explosion you won't soon forget. 😋👩‍🍳👨‍🍳

Ah, Hot Cheeto balls from TikTok! Those are quite popular and seem like a fun snack to make. The combination of spicy Cheetos and a cheesy center is definitely tempting. It's always great to see culinary creativity in action.

Earth Day Celebration at Green Leaf is April 19th

Students made something sweet this week! Working on correctly reading standard recipes. The students made Strawberry pancakes, Choclate chips, and regular pancakes.

Exciting News!!!
Knowledge Quest is being recognized for our poverty-fighting efforts at the inaugural Mpact Awards hosted by Slingshot Memphis. We have been working with Slingshot Memphis to study and enhance our poverty-fighting impact.

Knowledge Quest will receive an Mpact Award for being one of the most effective organizations studied in 2023. The Mpact Awards will be on Thursday, February 29th from 5:30-7pm at Crosstown Concourse, with Mayor Paul Young delivering special remarks during the program.

The students of JUCA enjoyed some holiday fun by creating their own GINGERBREAD HOUSES. Patience and creativity was key!

Students followed an easy at home recipe for Chicken and Dumplings. The ingredients were simple: celery, onion, carrots, chicken, and biscuits.

Spaghetti anyone?
Our JUCA students mastered this task, while also mastering their knife cutting skills.

SWEET TREATS: JUCA students made cupcakes before the holiday. They made cream cheese frosting, butter cream frosting, and cupcakes from scratch.

It's getting cold outside, so the students of J.U.C.A. learned how to make tasty chicken noodle soup! They're working hard to critique their knife skills by chopping up diced chicken, carrots, celery, and onions.

Homemade Donuts 🍩🍩🍩
In this hands-on class, JUCA students learned how to make both the classic yeasted donuts and baked cake doughnuts. The teens learned the secrets of working with yeast dough, cutting and shaping donuts, proper frying, and, of course, finishes. The JUCA students thoroughly enjoyed their creations and can now easily recreate the reciepe at home. 😊
