On Saturday, July 20th, we're celebrating our neighborhood and Cory Elementary alumni at Believe Memphis Academy! This event is always a good time and YOU can make it even better.

We're looking for a few folks to help us with set up, tear down, and clean up. Typically, this would take us a good minute, but the more neighbors we have on sight, the faster we'll be done 😎

A more walkable Alcy Ball is a safer Alcy Ball! 🚶🚦

The 's Bikeways and Pedestrian program is halfway through its upgrades to our busiest sidewalk corners! We think it's lookin' pretty good so far.

Why do this in the first place? Let us put you on game rq 👉 By widening the sidewalks at the corner of E Alcy and Manchester, car traffic will slow. And slower traffic = greater awareness of pedestrians at a vital walkway in our community.

For students that walk to Alcy Elementary, , , and Veritas Middle, this makes their route safer than ever.

Our first NEW HOME of 2024 has broken ground 🚧🎉

We promised FIVE new homes for Alcy Ball by the end of 2024, and we're making good on our word. To start the year, we successfully renovated 2440 Warren. Now, our first new build of the year is well underway. 🏡

Our Alcy Ball parks are getting an upgrade! 👀🎨

A beautiful, restored, and connected Alcy Ball is our daily mission. And we're excited to share that City of Memphis and Urban Art Commission are supporting us with this new project!

They have allocated funds for an artist to create 2 neighborhood signs and 4 street sign toppers for our Alcy-Warren Park and Alcy Samuels Park that speak to our neighborhood values of connection, training, and restoration.

The signs will incorporate:
👉 Our residents' faces, families, and cultures
👉 Celebrations of Alcy's past, present, and future
👉 Collages of our historic communities
👉 Alcy Elementary, Norris Elementary & Corry Jr High

This project celebrates what was, is, and will be here in Alcy Ball for generations. As this project progresses, we will share updates! So stay tuned 🫶

So many great things are happening in Alcy Ball right now! 🤗

Thanks to Bike/Ped Memphis, it'll soon be safer than ever for students attending Alcy Elementary School , Believe Memphis Academy, Memphis College Preparatory School , and Veritas Middle to walk to school.

By widening the sidewalks at the corner of E Alcy and Manchester, motor traffic will slow, creating greater awareness of pedestrians at a vital walkway in our community.

We can't wait to see the project completed! 😍
